It’s clear these Yu Menglong posts here, on this drama page, have less to do with justice and more to do with injustice towards this drama. Twisting a tragedy into a weapon against innocent people who worked hard on this drama isn’t advocacy — it’s exploitation of Yu Menglong's tragedy and death. There’s nothing noble about this and it's a shameful and disgusting practice of propaganda and cyberbullying. I hope these "haters" remember that Karma has an impeccable sense of timing and a strong sense of true justice.

Here’s a thought — why don't you go to the actual page of that person you don't like and do your screaming there instead of targeting the innocent, which are the main cast and crew of this drama? Misplaced anger doesn’t make you righteous; it just makes you complicit. At that point, you’re no different than a bully— spreading hate, generalizing without facts, and fueling propaganda under the guise of justice.

Xu Yan doesn't care about Steve or his lies. She connected the dots by immediately asking Shen Haoming and then informing him that Steve has been pestering her. What Xu Yan cares about is finding out who is Shen Haoming? Outside of his business deals, who is he? What does he want? Is she his goal, or just the bonus prize on his way to sealing the deal with Mr. Baraikin and snagging that board seat?

It's about Xu Yan's dignity, priorities, and self-worth. In my opinion, if a woman isn’t the man's first choice, she’ll make the choice to walk away.

Xu Yan walking away in episode 26 was a statement. Shen Haoming himself admitted that every move he's made at the start of their marriage has been to serve his ambition, not his heart. And during their “cooling off” phase? Still business as usual—every grand gesture aimed at impressing Mr. Baraikin... and winning Xu Yan's heart? May look like a side deal from her perspective. So, of course Xu Yan doesn’t buy his sincerity; to her, his actions look more like transactions. A favor for a favor.

What she wants isn’t complicated—it’s honesty, not strategy. “I’m sorry. I love you.” These simple words he’s never said... yet.

Ultimately, Xu Yan wants what every woman wants—not to be the trophy on his shelf of success, but the choice he makes when there’s nothing left to gain but love.

It means that roles are now reversed, he is the one trying to prove his love while she doesn't completely believe him.

Does anyone know who the screenwriter/scriptwriter is? I'd like to check out their other drama. I will definitely check out the Director's other dramas as well.

In my opinion, Xu Yan was never surprised. She just did not show or let Steve know that she already knew. Xu Yan and Shen Haoming may have their disagreements and issues right now, but they have always been consistent in their care for each other. They have always had each other's backs, especially against outsiders. Like, it's consistently them against the world. At the end of episode 26, even though she instinctively knew, she still asked Haoming, because of what happened during their marriage, there is now doubt and trust was broken. Ultimately, they are in agreement... Steve is the bad guy and he's after the Shen Family, which in Xu Yan's POV, is and will always be her family as well.

She listens to Steve's mumbo jumbos, but doesn't believe any of it other than what she already think she understands from her husbands actions and words. At the end of episode 26, both Xu Yan and Haoming talked about Steve and agreed that he's just a front man... someone, behind the scenes, is after Shen Haoming and his family.

I never thought I would like her, but now I do. lol MIL is like the female and sophisticated version of the matchmaking emperor in Love like the galaxy.

I think they are referring to a round face shape. Like Selena Gomez, Leonardo Di Caprio in his younger years. And you're right Lusi is gorgeous.

The Russian lady already told her about the evaluation period when Haoming brought her to the studio.

I loved it. It's on par with drunk Shaoshang scene. 🤣

Just finished episode 26, and honestly, Xu Yan isn’t entirely wrong for doubting him. Shen Haoming’s grand gestures still reek of “strategic partnership” more than pure love. From her perspective, she gave up everything—career, family, dignity, even her dream—all to prove her love. Meanwhile, he’s just now learning to say the right words. Sure, he dropped his pride, he's somewhat more honest... and he realized his love for her, but he’s never truly lost anything for her. I still see and feel that imbalance: she rebuilt her world from ashes, while he merely rearranged his furniture. At this point, I’m team “Haoming, drop the CEO facade and give a real apology”—no ego, no expectations, just raw, sincere love.

I think she totally chickened out at the end—fear and doubt hijacked her speech. She spent the whole episode thanking him, appreciating his support and his respect for her principles… but when it came time to say it out loud in front of everyone, she froze and pivoted. And I don't blame her. He shattered her heart with that brutal “I’ll never fall in love with you" speech. Also, Xu Yan is still doubting his sincerity and intentions... it was obvious on her face when the Russian lady mentioned the 3 month evaluation period... once trust is lost, it will take time to earn it back. Hopefully, episode 26 will explain her reasons.

That devastated look on his face mixed with jealousy was insane. And then the shaky exhale, the trembling breaths… I swear you could feel his heart break. Holy smokes! William acted that part to perfection. I must say he obliterated my sky-high expectations.

The emotional undertones in their interactions are subtle yet honest in episode 25. The way their eyes stare deeply into each other, those almost-smiles, her body language of facing him rather than trying to turn away, and then his newfound restraint and respect for her boundaries and dreams, guiding her to shine rather than taking control. Shen Haoming's character development is on point. Xu Yan's hesitation and doubt feels painfully real and Lusi effortlessly captured that fragile mix of longing to believe him and the fear of getting hurt.

And I think that fear won in the last part of her speech. She starts off facing and looking at Shen Haoming... only to pivot, at the last moment after a slight pause and a glance downward, towards Liang. Xu Yan is terrified of being shattered again—so of course, the “other guy” becomes her emotional safety net... her last effort to guard her heart.
