we had so much good angst at the start and could easily have had more after divorce. pining, longing , yearning,…
I actually think the middle part needed that lightness — a reminder that beneath all Shen Haoming’s denial and pride, there’s genuine care. They’re not your typical post-breakup-warzone couple; they still instinctively shield each other from snakes like Fang Lei and Steve. It’s that enduring loyalty that will make the angst hit harder in the later episodes. Because, now it will involve the safety of their loved ones, and once Haochen’s full story enters the picture, we’re heading straight into emotional devastation territory. A little warmth now only sharpens the angst that will come.

some prefer drama like a fairty tale script, but Love Ambition is not all that, it's relatable and it's a woman…
I agree. In my opinion, every part of this drama was well written, directed, and acted. The intrigue, tension and suspense during the first part of the drama sets the tone, which hooks the viewers, the second half turns, not only reflective, but also explores emotional growth with a satirical edge that reminds us love really does turn geniuses into fools. I’m expecting the finale to tie it all together with forgiveness, self-awareness, and the discovery of a complete love. I adore a drama that evolves — too dark, it’s dull; too fluffy, it’s brainless. The best stories, for me, are like life itself, blending laughter, heartbreak, and the existential crisis into a deep and complex world.

I just block until I reach the limit and just remove the dead/old accounts. That way I don't see the troll šŸ’©

my opinion:A drama with a predictable plot, difficult to watch until the end, and overrated due to the marketing…
Wow, wow, wow, how disgusting can you be??? Are you actually blaming the actress for having mental health problems? You're not a psychiatrist, you are a psycho. Shame on you!

The thing that's still rubbing me off the wrong way is where is the love that Hao Ming is screaming about šŸ¤”šŸ¤ØšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø…
Perhaps, Xu Yan had the freedom to fall in love—her only baggage was her own lies. Meanwhile, Shen Haoming was doomed from the start—blinded by his preconceived notion of Xu Yan's materialistic intentions and the burden of his own lies.

Qiao Lin has a good heart, but she is a bit stupid. I'm glad that she's back in Xu Yan's life though and being…
Initially, Qiao Lin had that ā€œfresh out of the bubble wrapā€ energy; pampered and naĆÆve. But ever since she drifted back into Xu Yan’s orbit, the girl’s leveling up; shedding her sheltered outlook for self-awareness and empathy. She has been protecting Xu Yan from Shen Haoming... now let's she how she'll protect Xu Yan from their toxic parents.

you could think that, but my perspective is different. i think it's not about using rather mutual benefit. she…
I see it that way as well. ā€œDifferent expectationsā€ and ā€œMutual benefitā€ perfectly sum up their early relationship. Xu Yan fell hard, while Shen Haoming went in with emotional armor and a business plan. No wonder her heartbreak hit like a freight train while he was cold and calculating. Now, he sits in his office or his studio, staring at the wilted agave plant, while constantly running through Xu Yan's words and actions in his mind. He's trying to figure out if she was telling the truth and what does that truth mean to him.

Idk how to feel about the recent episodes.I agree with some of the comments that SHM’s behaviour is childish.…
I think that Shen Haoming’s chaos isn't random—it’s the flailing of a man who has no idea how to express sincerity. He’s fumbling, out of practice (his last real relationship was over 12 years ago), and trying to charm his way through Xu Yan's guarded heart. Add two clueless cupids giving him advice instead of actual communication with Xu Yan, and you’ve got peak romantic disaster.

I feel like now's the calm or happy time before the storm. But this arc is probably to contrast between Haoming…
Absolutely agree — the shift feels real to me. The first part is pure control: tension, angst, and drama built on a mountain of lies. Their deceptions were like bricks in a wall they kept rebuilding every time they almost got close. But amid the scheming, you catch these tiny glimpses of how similar they actually are — like two mirrors reflecting each other’s flaws and ambitions.

Shen Haoming’s emotional evolution is hilarious in the best way — the man hasn’t been emotionally honest since, what, ChenChen’s mom twelve years ago? No wonder he’s stumbling through romance like a malfunctioning AI learning empathy. His ā€œromantic fumblingā€ is chaotic, adorable, and painfully real. Xu Yan, on the other hand, has flipped the script — she’s the one guarding her heart now, testing his sincerity while he’s out there trying (and failing) not to self-sabotage.

He was starved. It was his first kiss with her since their break up.
She had to tap his back to calm him down. šŸ˜‚And their smiles afterwards šŸ˜‚ those big grins. Now I understand why they were laughing so hard in the BTS of that scene. šŸ˜³šŸ˜˜šŸ’‹

3) XY gets all Big Boss when Chen Chen gets kidnapped.
Maybe it was GG behind the kidnapping. Xu Yan slaps her silly and saves her beloved son. And GG goes to prison.

I believe Shen Haoming was supposed to be early 30's while Xu Yan is 26

Based on the spoilers I've read, if they stuck to the original story and dialogue... her fate would be tragic.
So Wan Peng fans are not satisfied with the script and the screentime?
