I hate how this will hurt ChenChen, but this could be the hammer that HM needs to finally break free from GG's shackles of obsession and self-destruction.
5) There's going to be a bedroom snu snu scene. LOL.
Looking forward to all spoilers above, this one the most. Dating in the Kitchen had nice bedroom scenes š¤ so Director and Lusi will not disappoint. William Chan better pull up his big boy pants and deliver the performance of a lifetime. lol
Sorry but I give episode 19 and 20 a 2 rating. The cosplaying was so fake. How would it reflect on the one billion…
I thought it was more like deliberately obvious because that was their plan in the first place. It was a gamble to grab and keep the Russian couple's interest, which paid off.
I donāt remember seeing all of this in the preview of ep 21. I am waking up early tomorrow for this https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPY9KyaCJZS/?igsh=enlibDg3azEyeDI5
I think Xu Yan and Shen Haomingās āoperation charm-the-billionaire-coupleā in episode 20 was anything but subtleāand thatās exactly the point. Their game plan wasnāt to hide their intentions but to flaunt them with just the right amount of ridiculousness. They knew the Baraikin couple had probably seen every kind of sycophant, liar, and business shark trying to cozy up under the guise of āfriendly conversation.ā So instead of playing that boring game, XY and SHM went for comedy goldāleaning into their āmarried duo on a missionā act with a mix of goofy yet daring costumes, exaggerated chemistry that hints at genuine affection and undeniable honesty, and self-deprecating humor.
The genius? They turned transparency into strategy. By being so blatantly and hilariously obvious, they became disarmingāand kind of adorable. The Baraikins saw right through them, of course, but chose to play along, acting oblivious while clearly entertained by the whole spectacle. You could practically see them thinking, āFinally, someone with personality!ā
It was less ācorporate networkingā and more ārom-com diplomacy,ā that highlighted how perfectly Xu Yan and Shen Haoming complement each other in so many ways. That whole episode revealed the true Xu Yan and Shen Haoming: brilliant, strategic, playful, daring, self-aware, and emotionally in sync even when pretending otherwise. Beneath the laughter, the doubt, and the hurt, you could feel the rhythm between themāthe kind that says, "weāve got each otherās backs, no matter how hard, how messy, and ridiculous life gets."
oh I see. Ex was probably unaware of her sister's obsession. Gorilla Glue could also be the reason for the ex death, like tampering with the diving equipment. GG could also be behind the breakup.
šit was kind of disappointing on how quick it was.
That kiss on Episode 20 was a thousand times hotter than previous ones. Definitely, those two are finally opening up to each other, starting with their heartfelt talk. When I watched that kiss, I couldn't help but yell "Yes! That's the kiss we've all been waiting for!" Walls are starting to fall down and they are not holding back anymore.
I think the older sisterās 1% blame rating is way too generous. She marched right up to him, dropped the āIām pregnant with your babyā bomb, and months after they broke up. That couldāve been the defining lie that scarred him for life. No wonder Shen Haoming didnāt even give Xu Yan the benefit of the doubt, didn't even bother to ask her why she lied. In his head, every woman after that came with a built-in fraud labelāXu Yan just happened to get hit with it the hardest.
Didnāt care too much for the cos-play but the ending of 19 was significant to me. In their conversation earlier…
I found that interesting too. Shen Haoming can dress their relationship up in contracts and negotiations all he wants, but the little heartfelt details are where his poker face crumbles. Maybe that's a moment Xu Yan realizes that he's all talk about transactional benefits in their marriage but deep inside, there were moments that truly and deeply mattered to him.
