I am going to say one thing that if you want to people to knowledge that something is wrong or its should not…
i get your point of view but i don't think we should be that pessimistic. things are changing. right now, in this very moment, people are going outside and protesting and fighting their government to protect their rights. things ARE changing. we the people are the ones that have the power to make those changes. at the very least, me calling out this weird rhetoric is opening the debate and that's already a step in the right direction. you call me idealistic but actually i think that watching a series without ever thinking critically of it is the thing that's idealistic. it's a privilege to be able to watch a movie and not care about your rights be disrespected. i know some people aren't lucky enough to get the respect they deserve, that's precisely why i think we have a duty to keep fighting.
sis, unclench. you’re too woke for this silly romcom. watch their other series “love mechanics” you’ll…
i know this is fictional, but what bothers me is that things like this go COMPLETELY unaddressed. it IS harmful, because someone unaware might watch this and think it is okay to act like that IRL. and, actually, calling things like this out IS helpful. we have the power to change the narrative, and if me calling this out makes someone out there realize that this is in fact not an okay behaviour, then i call it a win. advocating against misogyny means speaking out when something is not right, no matter when. series and shows and cinema and media in general SHAPE our world. art is powerful. i am not saying that every media has to be politically correct and we have to perform a major scale cleansing, far from that. i just think that we should adress things like that if they happen to go completely unapologetic.

sorry but in this day and age you can never be too woke. the world is literally crumbling and i want my silly romcoms to be uplifting, not remind me the very reasons why we have to fight. mainstream media shouldn't normalize harmful rhetoric and i will stand by that. i'm a silly romcom fan but before that i am a woman and i won't stand for unaddressed misogyny and victim blaming. it makes me sad that you don't see it.
sorry but it IS that deep.
and i've already watched love mechanics tho i don't really get how that's relevant.
i'm appalled that i don't see anyone talking about it, but the whole drugged mungkorn discourse has made me REAAAAL uncomfortable.
it is weird as hell that everyone in the station is "joking" about him seducing someone and losing his virginity. HE HAS BEEN DRUGGED FOR GOD'S SAKE, THAT'S A CRIME AND MAJOR TRAUMA, NOT A SILLY THING!!! maybe it would have been funny if he was just drunk, like if he willingly chose to intoxicate himself, but HE DIDN'T. SOMEONE DRUGGED HIM. also the whole "you're so handsome, no wonder someone wants to drug you to get with you" IS WEIRD AS HELL!!! it's like going to a rape victim and say "you're so pretty, no wonder that happened to you" LIKE WHAT THE HELL???? also thear not denying that they had sex when they DIDN'T is also very weird because if i was mungkorn i would feel violated, like this is just thear admitting that he took advantage of mungkorn, that he quite literally assaulted him. WORST THING IS HE DIDN'T DO IT HE JUST DIDN'T SAY IT! WHY???? i'm sorry i love yinwar but this series is NOT IT. i chose to overlook it the first time thear said something misogynistic to his mother because i thought he would have a redemption arc but this is just hella weird. what happened to all the good things that jack and joker had built??? this is such a step back for yinwar and i don't even know if i can continue to watch this series cuz this is problematic as fuck
