S1 did not have an open ending come on… we see him move schools and the last thing we see is him about to fight…
personally i wholly agree with you. if in season 2 they're just gonna show what happens in the webtoon, then i dont want it. we already know that story. and plus without suho the charm is literally gone. like u expect me to believe that sieun was just forced to move on with his life like that??? nah. i'll be mad if they act like he never existed.
Despite it being confirmed to have a s2, it had a proper ending. I honestly think it will ruin this amazing show…
honestly part of me agrees. idk why everyone is so hell bent upon asking for a second season of this. like trust me this is my fav show ever and i doubt anyone is as obsessed with it as i am, but if they're gonna make a second season, i think i can wait. especially if they're going to stick to the webtoon which i would really hate. the magic and the highlight of the drama is literally sieun and suho's relationship, let's be honest. the webtoon however is just straight up fighting. so if they do that i'm afraid it'll lose the charm of the 1st season, you get me?
In the webtoon he got beat to a pulp, but in the show I think it was something like Si Eun saying ‘you’re…
yess, exactly what i've been saying! and it's not just that he was pathetic, he's such a layered and well written character, in fact i would even say they made him a softie in the drama. in the webtoon he was just a straight up asshole who deserved that beating. but in the drama we understand why he is the way he is..
happy or sad ending? I mean need know if it ends hoprful
it's actually an open ending, but the impact is far more powerful than any traditional sad ending, in my opinion. like u literally wont be able to move on. the very last scene is badass though, it's a bit of a set up for a potential sequel :)
Si eun why didn’t you slap Bumseok at least once and poor Sooho…he didn’t even get to celebrate his birthday…
sieun was initally supposed to hit beomseok but it was actually park jihoon's idea not to! i personally thought it was genius since it showed how much he really embodied that character. and it makes sense in terms of the story as well. sieun would never be able to get even with beomseok no matter how many times he punched him. and it wasnt worth the effort since sieun still remembered all the good times they shared, and also that he was already being abused at home. i thought it was beautiful, actually
also PLSSS im so sad about the birthday thing...when suho woke up the first person he looked around for was sieun 😠and he literally looked so sad when he saw he wasnt there
they deserved to WIN, but they didn't even get nominated...i am so mad :/ it was literally the best show of last year, and one of the best shows ever made in general too. let's hope it wins at other award shows at least
he got a nomination for best new actor! he cant be best supporting actor since he is one of the mains here lol,…
i hope so too...they robbed jihoon and i will never forgive them for that but now we need kyung to win it, he's literally the only deserving one in that list anymore tbh.
I agree one hundred percent. I was expecting weak hero to atleast get a good nomination for it's script but you…
exactly...the fact that he practiced method acting for this role should say enough, because look at the end result. and the slaps in that scene were 100% real without any sound effects, in fact he slapped himself harder than he was supposed to, so all the students looking around was actually their real reactions. when i learnt this it blew my mind. that climax in episode 8 was so well done too, when the smashes he glass and yells down the hallway, i could literally feel his frustration. like that was PEAK CINEMA tbh. i really dont understand why they couldn't nominate HIM, if they were gonna nominate someone from whc1...
ive been watching kdramas for many years now but none have stuck with me as much as whc1, something about it just hits different and it has such a strong impact.
and you're so right about the script part. a lot of kdramas eff up near the end just for the sake of finishing the drama off, but this is literally one of the most well written shows from start to finish
Kim Sugyeom playing a bully and fighting the top student gives me flashbacks to Weak Hero man's got a type huh?
yeah fr there are so many scenes in this drama that are similar to weak hero ones, two of the cast members being there too 😠it was playing with my trauma tbh the deja vu was insane
the very last scene is badass though, it's a bit of a set up for a potential sequel :)
