Title Was It Love?
I like your opinion except for her ending up with Yeon woo. I was rooting for him before but he is too selfish…
Personally, I don’t find him to be rude to his mom. He speaks politely to her every time despite her meddling. He even made an effort to attend the event upon her request (even though he left it halfway). He wasn’t even upset with her for putting on an act at the hospital to emotionally manipulate him, which I think any reasonable person is allowed to be. I feel they do have an amicable relationship albeit not a close one.

Also, I definitely don’t think Yeon Woo is/was obsessed with Ae Jung. He sure likes her a lot to have waited 14 years, but never imposed on her. If I have to pinpoint a character in the show who comes the closest to ‘obsession’, it would have to be Dae Oh. Imagine someone you haven’t seen in 14 years, even if he was an ex, suddenly acting aggressive like getting drunk & making a scene outside your home, making someone lie to you to get you alone on an island with him, persistently tailing your daughter (if you think about it, Ha Nee almost got into an accident because she was trying to get away from Dae Oh pursuing her in the first place). Now that’s creepy & obsessive.

I feel like a conflict relating to Ae Jung might have happened between Yeon Woo & his mom in the past, considering the flashback scene we saw in his mom’s office where he tells her Ae Jung is pregnant.

Unpopular opinion. Personally at this point, this is how I feel the show should proceed for me to consider it…
Thanks, you guys! ^^ I think the reason I’d like the show to end with her giving Yeon Woo a chance is because I find his simple gestures of sincerity towards her makes me smile too (i.e. when he cheered her up in the park, when he bought her clothes & shoes after the event, his subtle confession & the poem in it). Plus, his approach isn’t cloying or anxiety-triggering like Dae Oh’s. Haha.

Title Was It Love?
Unpopular opinion. Personally at this point, this is how I feel the show should proceed for me to consider it realistic & innovative as far as this genre in kdrama goes:

1. Ae Jung makes peace with Oh Dae Oh & they mutually accept that what they had was lovely while it lasted but it’s a past moment now that’s meant only to be cherished in memory.
2. Ae Jung & Pa Do develop a good camaraderie with the former helping the latter bond with Dong Chan.
3. Ryu Jin is the true father of Ha Nee. Ae Jung & him co-parent Ha Nee while remaining friends.
4. Ae Jung takes a chance & begins afresh romantically with Yeon Woo (regardless of who eventually ends up being Ha Nee’s dad). Ha Nee being the mature daughter we’ve seen her to be so far will give Ae Jung her blessings.

This would be a great message for mature women & single moms (actually all women) that you don’t have to be bound/stuck to your past relationships or obligations. You can move on, embrace the present & find happiness in new beginnings too. <3
