guessing this is gonna be like love alarm, they'll renew it if enough ppl want it, i love the series haven't read…
Pretty much, they just took the concept, and some storyline. It was the webtoon's authors that decided not to follow the storyline of the original webtoon. Nonetheless, a second season will bring original content, expanding the universe of the series.

This is my recommendation to those who are curious if they should read the webtoon.

If you want action-packed, emotional rollercoaster ride, and worldbuilding of the concept of the story, stick with the series. It does great and sets up for a continuation that the webtoon did not have. I actually preferred the series than the webtoon as I like the worldbuilding concept of the story.

If you want deep insight of the characters, (also) emotional rollercoaster ride, and (more) fighting with monsters and their history, read the webtoon. Reminding you, the webtoon might leave you hanging as it does not have a very conclusive ending imo. There are a lot of changes, so beware.

Although it might be early, I hope that this drama gets renewed for succeeding seasons. I think the series in general will be much greater if they add more worldbuilding and diving into the inner thoughts of the characters, while maintaining the crawling and creeping fear.

Does it follow the webtoon closely enough that a drama-only viewer can pick it up where the drama left off? Also,…
Putting my thoughts here. No, it did not follow the webtoon closely. There were some changes in the story and characters. And yeah, the webtoon's ending was rushed and did not make any conclusive story. If I were you, I'll stick with the series, as they're trying worldbuilding, so that the viewers will get to know how they're trying to solve the problem (but let's save that for if it gets renewed for a second season).

I'm so fucking mad at how it ended... How can you end season like that and don't explain anything?!!!!!! And if…
In the webtoon, LEH became a monster and fought Hyun Soo so that others can escape from the rooftop (yeah, it's different). It was explicitly shown that they became cocoons (which the series did not show because they did not introduce that concept). Don't expect he'll appear in the S2 (if it gets renewed), unless they pulled some twist.

I agree. I am currently reading the webtoon and even though I am not really satisfied with what is going on (especially…
Just watched the whole series. It just took time to let Pyeon Sang Wook's character to grow on me. Really shocked that they rearranged a lot of scenes, introduced new concepts, and did not kill some of the characters that were killed in the webtoon. Overall, it was a fun watch, hoping there's a second season as they are now deviating from the original plot of the webtoon.

Is there a date for season 2?
None so far, it just aired, so probably you have to wait at least for a year it to have a sequel (if it ever will). The series has been in post production since March of this year, probably VFX takes much of the time, especially since it it was outsourced.

The Monster's design team did a great job ,, some monsters were scary and some were funny looking in a laughable…
Each monster had a different VFX team working on it, so that's why some might seem scary and some might seem funny. ?

I didn't like much the change that they have done with Pyeon Sang Wook. In the webtoon, he was just a guy that was mistaken to be a gangster, but in the series, they made him a character that was very brutal and not sociable, but the addition of new characters is good. I'm actually really curious, because the series have been hinting the original source of the apocalypse, which was glimpsed Seo Yi Kyung's character.

I watched the first ep and I did not get the same vibes as the webtoon. Also the webtoon is 145 chapters long…
I haven't watched the last eoisode yet, but I have read the plot for the last episode. I think it ends around Chap 80-ish, where Protein Man had been killed by the people who infiltrated the apartment home. Will add details when I watch it later.

For the webtoon readers, please watch this series without referencing too much with the original source material. I have only watch until EP5, but there are a lot of changes that have been made with the characters, especially the new additions that is exclusive to the series only. Some scenes from the webtoon have been skipped, but were quite okay, some scenes were just rearranged. Please beware of this, but I want to let you know that the series in itself is quite solid.

I think they're trying to build the universe of the whole story here. The webtoon just focuses on the lives of people at the Green Home Apartments, but the series is aiming to widen and completely tell the story of the apocalypse that has happened. I will continue watching this tomorrow, as it is already late at night here. ?

Does anyone know where the drama ends in the chapters of the manga? Like what chapter should I start reading. And is there any chapters that I have to read (since some of them might be skipped in the series).

Really?! That doesn't soumd good. I am in chapter 50, so I don't know about what scene you are talking about.…
Just my thoughts. Actually, a full adaptation of the webtoon is bound to happen, and since an episode is more or less than 1 hour, I think it will do justice in respect to the webtoon. Since a chapter of the webtoon consists of a few pages (and some are even recaps of the previous chapter), I can imagine a chapter being adapted in just a span of 5 to 7 minutes. If they tried to adapt 5 chapters per episode, the pacing would just be dragging, and that's not really good for a series like this. A considerable adaptation would probably run at least 10 to 12 chapters per corresponding episode.
