Though for story aspect, they were both prominent in the manga as well. It's one of this stories where there are multiple leads of a certain gender. In the end, Mamura had a much bigger effect on Suzume than Shishio ever did. Frankly, it felt like Shishio didn't even like her until she started dating Mamura. Your typical "Didn't want it until you couldn't have it" kind of thing.

Why? It makes perfect sense that she would fall in love with Mamura in the end considering all the times he was there for her. Some of the times being when Shishio wasn't treating her well.

Right? It's funny to see people say she should end up with Shishio. While he might have been her first love, he wasn't her true love. Considering all the times Mamura was there for her, it makes sense she would fall for him in the end.

It does. She ends up with Mamura.

Wasn't a fan of Jang Joon Won. I mean, I know you can't help who you fall for, but my god. His wife who he has a kid with was suffering from something she couldn't control. He then spends his time going behind her back trying to woo someone else.

I think its stupid to bitch about tropes. Everything is a trope of some kind. Even if you can find something that isn't, then it will eventually become one. It's how you use those tropes to create a good story.
