He had the general plot outline for 4 years, but when writing the actual script, they based the character heavily on Mark. The story is not based on a book, the book was commissioned for the show.

I would actually call it a soft bl or bromance. Home and Peach are obviously special to eachother and It's heavily implied in the last episode that their relationship is heading towards romantic.

I haven't seen anyone mention the 10 Things I Hate About You thing yet so I thought I'd give it a mention. Knowing Jojo was basically making his version of 10 Things here I recently re-watched the movie and gotta say, character tropes are pretty spot on. The show is definitely Jojo's love letter to 90s romcom and the 4 mains seem very similar to 10 Things, but in a different world with different motivations.

I'll watch anything with Yoon at this point. He really won my heart in YYY and mans gotta support his children.

It wasn't a jewelry show, It was a fashion show and it was supposed to be underwelming. Arun is a rich boy trying to get his clothing brand launched, but it hasn't been really popular and he and his team are a hot mess. That is why the jewelry companies they booked to provide accessories for the fashion show backed out, because they didn't want to be seen in a no-name brand fashion show. I would say the same about the heist, no one, including joker have any experience, so it really makes the most sense for them to fumble through it at this point.
