he did though, watch it again. people have been giffing that scene and ive seen it multiple times and yoh clearly did reciprocate. mizuki was just always more dominating and yoh has always been passive.

I think you misunderstood something. the whole of episode 1 is Yoh being disappointed that it was raining and being sexually frustrated about it but he is still in denial about his feelings so he is trying to convince himself that he should be glad about the rainy season. It is obvious how he laments about the rain even before we learned why. A lot of miscommunications happening and things that people might interpret as toxic but there is NO noncon/rape in this series.

this is an amusing take given that the script apparently was well written and acted enough that it inspired people making detailed explanation on the nuances of speeches, language and culture that is lost in translation on the official subs. this is actually my kind of story where there is not much plot but nuances are rich between the interactions of two characters and the misunderstanding is not even annoying for me because its very in character on the neuroses of the characters that is well established in the story.
