I think they're not shutting the emergency (ER) but they don't want life-and-death situations as much as possible (counter-intuitive for them being in the medical field). That's the irony and maybe the sad truth happening? The medical field has slowly(?) become a commercialized industry and not a healthcare facility anymore

at that time, for convenience, yes. day wasn't that good of a person to begin with, he was only good to his brother and staff when he had the salon.
