I read this webtoon years ago and can't fr remember all the twists and turns so im just actively reliving that moment in life...i will say that i loved the story before and am enjoying it now even despite the devastation ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Love a good criminal justice drama that doesn't pretend like the system is not corrupt and meant to benefit one group over the other, it's wonderful to see the protagonist slowly question his position and whether he is abusing it or not, and to be met with a serial killer that encourages the protagonist to question his method of seeking justice for the victims. I would not try to guess the murderer too much though, it's not really as it seems cause they don't reveal who is the real killer is until the very last few episodes, presenting red herrings at every turn. I would rewatch again for the very questions that it raises, how does one trust and seek justice within a corrupt system? Often, I found myself thinking...oh, that's not a bad way to serve justice actually. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Definitely agree. I found myself watching the drama and each episode, I felt emotionally connected with the hard conversations the family members had to have with each other to properly communicate their feelings. there is substance here, although the drama isn't explicit about it.
If you enjoyed the series, highly recommend reading the webtoon, Annarasumanara, which is only 28 episodes. The art style is extremely beautiful and tells the story in a way that increases the fantasy aspect of it. Loved that the musical aspect of this drama helped add to the drama's suspension of reality, but I believe the web comic did it better. Extremely happy watching this and it being faithful to the original series as much as possible, but definitely want to highlight the original webtoon creator's skill in building this world.
Is there any romance in this drama??? If so, between whom and is it a happy ending?!
There is a slight romance between classmates. The romance isn't so serious, more like blossoming love, and the ending is open ended for the pairing, so you can choose to believe they may cross paths again and fall for each other when they're at better places in life (fl is poor and ml is rich, so class differences keep fl from considering him as a bf). The ml changes his mindset interacting with the fl which impacts his thinking considerably. I would say the drama is more about dreams and surpassing social norms than romance. If you like coming of age stories, this would be great for you. No break ups, but no confirmation of whether they end up together...the story is about more than that.
been a fan of her work and got into watching webdramas with A-Teen and Just One Bite! Very dear series where I'm looking forward to a season 3 even now. Live On was so well written, the characters were really well portrayed, and the internal conflicts were well drawn out and tied up at the end. No will they, won't they at the end. I'm hoping to see more work from her in the future.
