Just seeing this old post now. Yes, the cinematography was amazing. There was a montage sequence in the middle of the film that was very impressive. The soundtrack from Yusuke Tsutsumi was so good that I bought it from Bandcamp and I still listen to it on occasion. I forgot that the OST doesn't include the ending song by Kiyohara Kaya.

Weird timing! I just started it today. Ep2 is terrific! I've been watching ripped videos. But I just checked Amazon Prime and it is working okay for me (Japanese audio/English subs).

I never found either. There are Chinese subs that I ripped from the AvistaZ raw, but I'm not sure how helpful those might be. Thanks for looking into the possibility of translating this film. I'm generally not a big fan of war movies but the presence of Mitsushima Hikari and the storyline piqued my interest.

I finished the movie. It was terrific, as were your subtitles. I've never seen an uplifting "break-up" movie. I loved Sakamoto's screenplay.

How should I credit them (like "from Emi on MDL" or something similar?). I did make the change that you referenced (the line that should have had "30-minute walk").

Thanks so much! I'm about 50 minutes into the film and your subs are wonderful (and the film is terrific). I'm sorry that the subs have been stolen already by the streaming sites, who love to strip credits off and make believe that they've done the subtitling. It's all very sad. Subscene is a place that's freely accessible where subs are frequently shared.

Alas, it is not. But, it is a terrific movie, probably the best that I've seen this year.

This was an enjoyable drama. My only difficulty is that the old man being interviewed at the airport would have to be about 100 years old to be consistent with the plot, since it was stated that it was Reiwa 2. He didn't look a day over 79!

Thanks for the subtitles at d-addicts. This was a excellent drama. I agree that it was wonderfully written and Shishido Kavka demonstrated very well that she can handle a leading role.

Absolutely hilarious. Fantastic cast. Just watched it on a United flight to the UK.
