here's what i think : remember when the queen asked court lady shin to look for the physicians who were involved in treating taesin, court lady shin informs that a physician did and since the QD got rid of everyone involved in the incident, this physician was lucky enough to escape. he then lived with his son in a small hut. but turns out the hut was burned and the physicians burnt body was found , my theory is that the physician escaped the hut and it was none other than master toji and the royal physician kwon might be his son/ student.
