I hate to admit it, mostly because I hated his character from the very beginning, but damn…Hwang Gi Chan (portrayed by actor Park Yoon Jae) is killing it lately. Not only is he overshadowing the other actors currently but he’s also stealing the show. That manic and hysterical laugh of his in the boardroom, which he used to not only mask but also hold back his tears was great acting on his part. It conveyed brilliantly the tragic and near complete devastation of his life at that moment. And the utter devastation of his remaining hopes and unrealized dreams. It was a sort of a cathartic moment for him as well as a tragic epiphany of sorts. One which once again firmly underscored in glaring and unadulterated terms the utter hopelessness and spiraling descent of his current existence. In a sense, and as vile as his past crimes may have been, in the end he too is shown to be just another product of toxic parenting and a patsy of sorts. One which that most vile and evil psychopath Kang Se Ri used in her ongoing decades long war to deprive Jae In of everything she ever held dear in her life. Not sure what Gi Chan will do next now that he’s finally realized that everything coming out of Se Ri’s mouth are only devious and manipulative lies. Will he use his remaining days seeking some sort of redemption for his crimes, or is it already too late for him? Guess we’ll soon find out, though I suspect it probably is already too late for him. Still, he might surprise us because I now believe that given the recent turn of events the MLs will mistakenly lower their guard and that will probably give Se Ri the opportunity to strike back. Hope I’m wrong but if I’m not, I hope Gi Chan summons the will to take her out in the most painful way possible. And not as some last-minute attempt at redemption, but rather in some sort of epic and psychotic over the top Howard Beale type moment like in the 1976 movie Network.

A truly enjoyable watch from start to finish. Probably one of the best short length drama series I've watched so far. I was hooked from the very beginning. The chemistry between the leads was incredible especially when you take into account that the ML was only 19 when this drama was made back in 2022. A definite watch IMHO.

I'm guessing it started in K, but probably escalated by the time they both reached the 2nd grade. Which is when the poor guy's parents had to get a restraing order against the pint-size stalker with the lustful grin.
