Title Go Go Squid!
I have huge issues with Tong Nian clothing. 19 yrs old girl wearing big ass double layered clothing, thigh length…
Yeah, I really didn't like the way they dressed her in the drama. Literally everyone had better clothing than her. In the novel, the author dressed her more Lolita style (short skirts and cat stockings). I think part of the reason they gave her oversized clothing is to give an illusion that she has a nice body underneath because in the novel she's supposed to have long legs and big breasts.

Same here. I almost dropped the novel because of how cringey FL was in the beginning but I stuck around because of ML. I really enjoyed it afterward so was ecstatic to discover that it was adapted into a drama.

If I could erase my memory, I would erase this serie and gonna re-watch again like the first time and fall in…
LOL me too! I usually binge watch a drama but this was the first time I watch episodes as they air. Viki did a good job subbing it quickly. So I too wish I can erase this series and re-watch it again!

Hello, she's supposed to be 19
Actually it's just a little over 10 year difference. He was born in Feb and she was born in March. So he turned 30 and a month later, she'll turn 20.

The flashbacks drive me crazy... I’m not here for all this I just want the romance!
The book in itself isn't that long so for 41 episodes, the author/screenwriter incorporated some of the plots from the other two prequels which is why we get all of these flashbacks. I also just want to see the romance between the two, lol.

HYT doesn't have much screentime, Yangzi is sooo adorable in this show
Agree, HYT isn't a main character so he's not in a lot of the scenes. He still get plenty of screen time but it mostly focuses on his silent reaction, through eyes so not much speaking.

Guys this show won’t focus mainly only on the leads the author of the novel said that they’re including parts…
I'm super excited about this since the screenplay is written by the author herself. I also didn't read the prequels to this so would be interested to see what happens and get a better understanding.

I was a huge fan of Love O2O and want a new fluffy and easy-to-enjoy romance drama. How's this show?
I agree with what the other commenter said. I'm also a fan of Love O2O and didn't feel that this compared at all. I found it boring. Where the main leads of Love O2O were confidence in their love for each other, even from the beginning, the main leads here (especially the female lead) was kinda wishy-washy. I think it's still worth a watch if you want something light but don't compare it to Love O2O otherwise you will be disappointed.

Title Better Days Spoiler
What happens to them in the end. I don’t mind a spoiler. Is it romantic?
I ended up using Google Translate to read the rest of the novel. At the end, Bei Ye goes to jail but his sentence is shortened so instead of life in prison, he only got a few years thanks to the hard work of Officer Zheng Li. Chen Nian goes off to university with the intent to study law so she can come back and help Bei Ye. So although it isn't a happy ending, we're left with an optimistic feeling that our main leads will find each other again. It's more dark than romantic but the love between them is profound. I usually prefer sweet romantic books so this one took me by surprise since it's very angsty because of the subject matter: extreme bullying, rape, murder, etc. So the little romance between them is like a bright sunshine in the midst of all the tragedies.

For anyone who's curious, Mosheng ended up marrying Ying Hui when she was in the US but it was a marriage in name only. She lived with Jane and her son while she in the US. Jane ended up going to jail so, in order to save Jane's son from going into the foster system, she married Ying Hui so they can adopt Jane's son. After Jane came out of jail, the son went back with Jane. Mosheng then asked for a divorce from Ying Hui who fabricated fake divorce papers. Not knowing and thinking she's divorced, she returns to China. While being married to Ying Hui, they did not an intimate relationship.

Title Better Days
Having read much of the novel (still waiting on the rest of the translation), this is a story that will stay with you for a long time. I cried so much reading the novel. The character of Bei Ye (Xiao Bei) is so well written. I look forward to seeing this movie and hope that it'll eventually get subbed (or Netflix buys the rights).

I’ve seen many people recommend this drama if you’re a fan of Love O2O and so as a huge fan of Love O2O, I decided to give it a try. It didn’t pull me in and I found the romance between the leads a little boring. One of the main reasons I liked Love O2O so much was that the main leads were very confident and they didn’t allow ‘third-hands” into their relationship. Wei Wei was always upfront with Cao Guang that she has no interest in him, even bluntly lying (at the time) that she was interested in Xiao Nai. When her former in-game husband meets her in real life and becomes enamored with her, she told him straight up that she has a boyfriend. Xiao Nai had a lot of admirers that he never paid attention to and despite Yi Ran’s crush on him, he never gave her the time of day. The leads were entirely focused on each other. In PYHOMS, you can’t really say that there is no love triangle because, in the beginning, there really was. Between Momo, Wei Yi and Fu Pei. Momo always had a thing for Fu Pei but she wasn’t a priority. It wasn’t until he felt that Momo and Wei Yi were getting closer that he realized he was going to lose her. When, in a drunken stupor, he ended up kissing Wang Shan thinking that she was Momo, Momo was hurt. It also took the pair a while to get together despite living together.

Another note is that I felt like the cast here is really young. Sometimes I wondered if this was a high school or college drama.

I think if you watch this without the expectation that I had, it would be a good drama. The love is sweet between them. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.

I've seen bits and pieces of this lakorn and I'm wondering what was the reason why Thae and Pit have a fallout? I mean they loved each other growing up so I wondered what happened.

I watch a few of the beginning episodes and skip to the end. What's the story with Kae and her family? Is she really their daughter. I missed that part.
