I am excited for them as well and I think they will end up together. During their 2nd drinking meet in episode 8 they opened up to each other very easily and seem to support each other.

My guess is that he didn't change, typical Chairman trope--he's in charge and one should do as he wants as well as show good returns on his investments. At the gathering he wanted to embarrass Ji Yun and show his power. In episode 8 when Jeong Hun told Su Hyeon that he hated his father(the chairman) the way he acted after burying his oldest son. I really admire how Ji Yun stood up to the chairman unlike Kim Hye Jin who we saw grovel in front of the chairman in a previous episode.
