the academy is kinda like a university, so it is possible for him to go back and get a degree but he is already an experienced sergeant which is as equally important as being a leader like yoo shijin

im a bit confused, like in the bomb attack...yoo shi jin got shot twice right one at his side and one on his shoulder..how…
since they got captured and tortured for information their captors probably treated them just so they wouldn't die on them like removing the bullets. also daeyoung got shot straight in the shoulder whereas shijin didn't so that's probably why he has the sling.

because seo daeyoung is a non-commissioned officer which means he didn't go to a military academy like yoo shijin and yoon myungju. therefore he can't get promoted any higher because only people who have studied at the academy can become commanders like how shijin is the leader of the alpha team.

They're in 'Uruk', a made up country so that they can avoid offending any real countries. The plot of the bad guy hasn't really started yet but so far he is a former soldier who Song Joongki's character saved during a mission, but has now turned into a smuggler's gang leader. The earthquake was just a natural disaster that happened when Song Hyekyo's character (Dr. Kang Moyeon) was about to return to Korea, but they stayed in Uruk to help with the disaster relief. Song Joongki and his team who originally were in Korea for a break also returned to Uruk for this reason. Is there anything else you're unclear about?
