What is it about the Japanese ' love for French cuisine? It's like a recurring theme in their food dramas, If it's not Japanese food, then it would be about French food. I wish they would explore other cuisines from different countries. Anyway, I love this--the contrast from school lunches to fine dining is amusing and watching her elevating the kids' food is entertaining.
I'm glad I found this on Netflix--very funny and weird (the Japanese way lol). the food looks really good, I found myself wishing I was eating along with him
This drama made me angry, hungry, cry, laugh--but mostly angry. The sexism is very much real and relatable that you just want to strangle all the men here except for Yasuda Ken. I don't even remember the last few episodes because I couldn't get over my anger lol. Brilliant acting by the cast but Maki Yoko got outdone by the younger actresses--they're really good! I got way more invested in Mayu and Fumi's stories than the main characters. For once I did not want any romance to develop with the male characters.
I love Chiaki but I feel that this could have been written better. I just can't get into the male character. He feels flat most of the time for me. I couldn't get past ep3 :(
ok but I thought this was an isekai type of drama but in reverse based on the trailer. But I still enjoyed this! My only concern is Wataru was able to reach highschool but he lacks common sense. I would understand if he was a wild kid from the jungle or his parents neglected him. but he wasn't :| but I do commend him for his quick character development. Anyway, I absolutely love the business side of the story--it's educational and interesting. Some people don't realize that the game production industry is not all fun and games as it seems. Also the outfits of the female characters are a mood!
I love Fumi's acting so much so I'm not surprised she killed in this. The age gap bothers me though but I hope by the time they end up together Issei would've been past his teen years.
the plot seems similar to a manga and I was right! Even the drama poster is similar to the manga cover. He's been pining for her since highschool. anyway, it's a happy ending :)
The Maria character design of this live action is a failure from the first glance.
I think they went for the just "beautiful" route instead :( they couldn't find a halfie to play the role. Speaking english won't be required anyway. Maybe she has an angelic singing voice? 😬
finally made an account because I don't see enough reviews on the net about this absolute gem! just want to say I got really immersed in the story and the characters are all endearing. I can't even pick a favorite character! I have no idea why I watched this despite the plain poster and vague plot--it's got Suda Masaki so I guess I have to thank him for that heh.
