Love all the series! she does seem like a Mary Sue character--but you can't help but let it go especially when her colleagues are misogynists and terribly unfit for the job
Funny, whacky and memorable! I still find myself saying the catchphrases with friends who have watched this as well. Nodame basically tricked Chiaki into caring for her by being a slob lol. It's great that they both grew up and overcame their weaknesses together (and at times far away from each other!)
It's just ok. Osamu seems lifeless here idk. I like him better on Hungry. Keiko's character wasn't also endearing. What I do love about this is the production design, the colors are so vibrant all throughout the film, making the clothes really standout even though I'm not a fan of the styling
this was my first Jdrama ever. Gosh, that was years ago when I literally have to visit cosplay conventions so I can buy DVDs. There really is something appealing about watching bullies get beat up by the least person they expected. 1st season is still the best
I watched this as a teen so this remains in my heart as one of the funniest light-hearted jdramas I've watched. The main leads are meh in acting (sorry guys, I know it's Maki and Shun) but the supporting cast are highly anticipated! Nakatsu all the way and his rejection was heartbreaking.
Sorry but this a negative review. I read the manga way before and it was bad--I was surprised they made a drama out of it. I thought it can't be bad if the cast has Satomi and Yamapi. Wrong! The plot is just as bad--the monk/fiance is manipulative and obsessive. Always interfering in FL's dreams to go abroad and even locked her so she can't take the test to apply for work overseas. Her in-laws are problematic and cold to her, take note she'll be dealing with them everyday once she marries him. I just don't want that kind of life for her--she's a modern girl meant to explore the world. The stalking and kidnapping was taken too lightly and I just can't.. even if I love Satomi. Also, no offense but the english parts are cringey when they have a perfectly english speaking actor--Furukawa Yuki who only had a few lines in like 1 episode flexing his eigo skills and never to be heard again. He grew up in the US, dang it! Yamapi is also expressionless all the time (I'm pretty sure there's a difference between calm vs dead expression) . I wanted her to end up with Mishima because he truly knows , cares for her and respects her decisions :(
loving her drama, Konto ga Hajimaru (2021).Hoping for more projects from her.
Right?!! I would say the cast in general is great and she was lucky to be there. Plus the writing is so good. It's the perfect recipe for a successful show.
I used to confuse her with Kasumi Arimura but I'm getting better now haha. She was truly hateful in Mondai no Aru Restaurant but you can't help but watch her because she's so good in it!
she's not as popular compared to Mei Nagano or Kanna but she's seriously a brilliant actress I wonder why she's not talked about as much. I would probably put her on the same level as Fumi with talent. Also, she's so beautiful!
One of my favorite actresses currently. I haven't watched a lot of her works but the ones I saw her in, she absolutely shines! She's not classically beautiful but she definitely is in her closeups. Period drama styling suits her so well (with the bangs brushed back, it doesn't suit most popular actresses with high foreheads 😅)
the opening credits is so cute--the production set and the OST! Marika is so refreshing and charming, her closeups are the best. I was mainly looking out for the food but I like hearing her talk about the memories tied to it more. The story is great and I get to learn about podcasting. Like a podcast about starting a podcast but with food! Wish we all have a friend like Arisa 😊 also the quirky dance at the end--I've only watched up to ep 2 and I noticed she change the choreo? will it change with every episode?
Episode 4 angered and saddened me so much. That boy's death was unexpected.
I knew it won't end well..the mother has no backbone and definitely prioritizes the bf--she would've known about the abuse if she spends enough time with her son. also when they were planning for the hot springs trip and opting to leave Yuto alone at home? That ticked me off.
