I did too, but I gave it another go and it's really good

Sometimes Chinese dramas seem way too long. After they set up the storyline in the first 20 episodes, about 10 episodes later they can often fall flat.

However Ode to joy has captivated me throughout! Though at first I dropped the show after the first episode, I decided to give it another go and I didn't regret it! I thought it'd be like a Korean drama, the life of the rich contrasted by the life of the less well off, but it was much more than that. I'll forever hold this show close to my heart. Can't wait to watch season 2! I also heard season 3 is in the works!

Okay I'm almost done and it's improved a lot, episode 22 has been really interesting

The pacing of the second half hasn't been that great if I'm honest, I'm still going to complete it but it feels a bit like a chore...

I don't know exactly why I loved season one so much, maybe because of seol ok's loveable personality and charm? And the chemistry between the leads as far as I can remember wasn't the obvious classic k drama romance?

Anyhow I can't wait!

I really wasn't feeling that jumpscare 20 minutes in, but now that I've finished the film it doesn't feel so out of place I guess?

I suspect that guemggango gets activated when there's a genuine attraction?... or at least I'm hoping!

As for that darn bell... Idek know lmao. Maybe she brings about her own death? Or someone's following her? This isn't a Chinese drama! So the ending can't be too tragic! Right? I feel like song oh gong will sacrifice himself or something?

Just finished episode 9...I'm about to fight song oh gong lmao. Sun mi sweetie when this is all resolved you better wake tf up! (I say this while secretly hoping there's a happy ending...)
