The dialogues are weird/awkward and the storyline is bland. I'm not sure if there's even enough plot for 16 episodes.
I find this show kind of boring but at the same time there's something intriguing & relaxing about it that keeps me watching. The main couple is so cute that I can't stop smiling whenever I see them together.
noodle business is not doing super well, it seems. On the other hand, why do they even need it when there is a…
They only open for like 1 hour per day and they usually have long waiting lines outside their door. I think they work to try to blend in with society. If they ever get caught or questioned by authorities, they would look more suspicious if they were all unemployed.
I am waiting for suho to show some expression on his face lol I am fed up of seeing his straight face... don't…
This is why I didn't like Suho in the webtoon. I thought he was so boring and had no personality. But here Cha Eun Woo is so beautiful that I don't care if he's boring ahaha
I've seen some Moon Ga Young's dramas and I like her but I can't tolerate her voice, is that her real voice?
Her voice threw me off too. In the first episode she was speaking in a high pitched baby voice to Suho (???) which was SOO out of character imo. That is not how I imagined Ju Kyung sounding when I read the webtoon.
Omg the Counter group really feels like a family even though they've only known each other for like 2 weeks. Mae Ok treats So Mun like her own son, it's so heartwarming! All the characters are so interesting and I want to know more about their backstories (especially Mo Tak's).
soooo first saturday without start-up, hence without torment. this feels great.I am watching like..12 dramas now…
I think I'm watching like 5+ dramas at the same time (which I never do, I usually pick one and stick to it). I can't commit to any drama because none of the characters are HJP ;(
What is the exact genre of this drama? Is it fun light hearted or intense and emotional?
Not very intense but it's quite emotional. It touches on a lot of subjects like poverty, peer pressure, what it means to be an adult, etc. A bit sad but also beautiful and magical. I would suggest you read it! It's a short webtoon and the art is so beautiful.
This drama is so unrealistic... Ju Kyung's eyebrow grew back so fast haha.
I'm a bit sad that Seo Jun's love will be one-sided (as seen in the character chart), but I actually like Su Ho a lot more in the drama than I did in the webtoon. Episode 1 was really disappointing but episode 2 was amazing!
The scene where JP covers DM's head as she enters the car was something KSH did unconsciously! It just made me wonder how many other Jidal crumbs we got were just KSH ad-libbing his parts and being the gentleman that he is irl. He's so sweet <3
I just finished this drama and here are some of my thoughts. I'll start off with the things I didn't like first:
- Da Jung should have drawn the line with Woo Young sooner. I was SUPER uncomfortable seeing how she didn't question Woo Young's behaviors until towards the end. The guy would literally hang out at her rooftop, give her hand massages, walk her home at night, give her his jacket - things that her own kids don't do for her. Their scenes just felt too intimate. But I guess these scenes were needed for her "realization" at the end. Don't get me started on the kisses... the kiss after she found out WY was DY was fine though. - Deok Jin was super clingy and desperate that I could not root for his relationship with the teacher. I love how they made so many Marvel references but I was annoyed by his over-the-top attempts to get with her just because she's hot. - Ja Sung and his father's sudden 180 change in attitude felt so unrealistic. It's weird how close Ja Sung and Si Woo were at the end especially since he used to bully him! I'm glad Si Ah didn't date him though. - Ae Rin consciously having feelings for an underage kid... These scenes were funny but I also felt disgusted watching them. - So. Many. Cliches. How many times does Da Jung need a man to save her from getting hit by a car while crossing the street?? And Ji Hoon's brother getting hit by the white truck of death not once, but twice!?!! - Choi Il Kwon. I'm glad this subplot wrapped up pretty quickly and didn't drag till the end.
Overall, it was a good drama. I laughed a lot and cried a lot. Some of my favorites were:
- Deok Jin's 2 female employees always witnessing how dysfunctional his "family" is LMAO - Si Ah and Ji Ho!!! They were so cute together. - The character growth of Yoo Mi and the 2 male leaders/directors at JBC - Ye Ji Hoon!! He was such a nice and straightforward guy. - Hong Dae Young's growth and how he befriended his kids while supporting their dreams. - Dae Young and Si Woo playing basketball together made me so happy - Da Jung being an independent, strong woman breaking societal norms :)
what are the ratings in Korea? Pls tell me its low so then i am able to know that Koreans feel a similar way as…
Ratings stayed around 5% and decreased a bit towards the end. 5% is pretty good for a tvN drama but the producers probably anticipated higher ratings since this seems like a pretty high budget drama. For reference, extremely successful tvN dramas are Crash Landing on You and Reply 1988 and they reached around 18-20% ratings.
Anyone else absolutley furious how dalmi had the gall to ask jipyeong "are you avoiding me?" And then adding saying…
When HJP makes a SECOND straightforward confession saying he wants to be the first person DM thinks about, she looked confused/nervous and then proceeded to ignore what he said and munch on some carrots (?!?!!?). She knew damn well what he was implying and she still led him on without even a proper rejection other than a half-assed apology. :|

Btw, anyone know how old Han Na is?
-likes tteokbokki made of flour
-ex gf left him while he was in the military
-adorable
Even though his character is a supporting role, I think he had more screen time than Injae did in SU.
