Finally, a review on 2521 i can entirely agree on!! It makes me so sad that people try to find all kinds of excuses to lower their ratings only because they do not like sad endings... This ending was so well-made and no other drama has ever made me reflect on my own life as much as 2521 did... And as you said, everything made perfect sense!

I'm not 100% sure but didn't they say their situation was similar to Ji-woong and Seung-wan's, because they both met because their parents were friends?

I totally agree with you that not all stories need to have happy endings. For me personally, it was enough to see that Hee-do grew up happy and i don't think showing Kim Min-chae's father would have added much for me as his character wouldn't have changed anything about the plot, but i do agree that it would have been nice to see Yi-jin move on from their breakup. However, i feel like most people just dropped their ratings because they personally don't like sad endings, which is such a shame for such a good drama. In my opinion, the ending was very well-made and it left a deep impression on me, so i wish more people would be able to appreciate this kind of ending. The point of the drama is that not all first loves are meant to last forever and that a happy end is not necessary to show how much two people love each other
