I actually liked it much more than I thought I would after watching the first few episodes. It's peak entertainment! Especially if you treat it as such.
Though serious at the core, I loved how (un)intentionally epic, over-the-top the drama is: the camerawork, the fights, some villains and cases… It's definitely not the most plausible, logical, or realistic detective show, but it has 3 very likeable leads, peculiar cases, no romance, and a few plot twists I bet you didn't see coming. Many story points are intertwined, so when you think an event or a character isn't relevant anymore, you might be in for a surprise.
I also think the drama deserves the "Comedy" tag. I had a good laugh quite a few times. Still, the main plot is pretty serious, and the emotional scenes are always believable and heartfelt.
I was surprised by the "Horror" tag, btw. Apart from a few atmospheric, slightly eerie scenes in the earlier episodes and an occasional stabbing, I found nothing scary in this series at all. And it's coming from somebody who usually tries to avoid horror at all cost. Personally, at the end of the day, I was thoroughly entertained!
you must missighted it. tharinee is wanwan and win's brother while wanwan is... well obviously win's older sister…
It has always been Pawin, even in the movie scene. Him and Toptap look similar from specific angles, but I'm pretty sure even in the first scenes, it was Pawin. I doubt they'd change the actor halfway. Toptap is mentioned to have a guest role, too, but I don't think we've seen him yet.
I have one thing to say about ep 3: more than enough product placement, but not enough Dan x Yok!
On a serious note, though, I like how they address existing issues. They don't simply make a statement about a sensitive topic and assume the viewers will take it on faith. They support it with arguments to make a point, both in case of White's interview and Yok's mother. It's not so easy to convey a message without rubbing it too much in our faces, and I definitely appreciate this kind of storytelling.
What a nice dp! I'll admire it every time I see you :D
😎 :D
And I'm gonna seize the opportunity to turn this comment into an appreciation post for First Kanaphan, who also deserves love and recognition for being so convincingly smitten by Dan during and after those few minutes they spent together!
I like how at this point, us, viewers, we know as much as White does. We don't have any additional information on the characters or the situation. We are looking at the world through White's eyes and trying to connect the dots little by little together with him. "Who are all these new people? Why do they behave that way? What exactly do they expect from me?"
Right now, I feel as lost as White, and it's thrilling and nerve-racking to be in his shoes! But it creates a palpable sense of despair and confusion that I thoroughly enjoy!
Is it true a potential season 2 has been cancelled, or is that just speculation? I saw it in some of the comments.
I actually doubt that the second season was even on the table.
Yes, the ending seemed hopeful and intriguing, but I've heard it was just meant to provide some scope for imagination, give a "starting point" to the actual shippers and fanfic writers to continue the story the way they want. Even though it does look like a premise for season 2, hard to argue with that.
However, there hasn't been any official confirmation of either, afaik.

Yeah, lol, thankfully, I managed to successfully avoid any hate-crime-level series so far :D
