This is how I understood it: Ultimately they want an ice stone. 2 things to achieve this: They need Jinyowon, and some rain dance rite (someone here told me ancestor Jin did the rain dance too when she got the ice stone). Idk if these 2 crooks are strong enough to purposely cause a drought to this lake but they are using the drought anyway to bring about a rain dance. Now to get Jinyowon, Jin mommy's age and weakening energy were targeted first suggesting to let others take over, ergo to dismiss this, Jin announced an undisputable heir (unexpectedly packaged with a very strong son-in-law). So then this became the new obstacle and Jinmu figured to overcome this, killing JBY would separate Uk from Jinyowon (putting the blame on Naksu at that so they could hold him responsible) and would also get rid of a powerful Jinyowon heir (ofc nobody knew her powers are dormant atm). Obv that failed so plan C is coming soon. As for Uncle Seo, yeah why is this useless guy even here?? LOL. That was Jin mommy's attempt to produce an heir out of JBY. Queen was unaware and felt neglected at first but Jinmu figured they could actually use this to get into Jinyowon - but that was before JBY surprised everyone that she is already married.

If you are trying to enjoy S2 but this is a hindrance for you, maybe just think of her as a completely new character for now. She lost all memories anyway so in her and in all the other characters' pov, she is in fact a new person. Maybe by the time she "returns" to being Naksu you have adapted to the change?

Right thanks for clarifying that. I think it’s best to picture the child anyway since like you said she grew up to JSM’s face but we only got to know that face as Naksu too. And this is why I can’t help but want an ending for JBY that is her own - not tied to Naksu. A good one. It doesn’t even need to be with mum, mum can die in the end haha! Why not be the new leader of Jinyowon as she was rightfully so. We all know which house Naksu belongs to now anyway ♥︎

Ya even if it’s just at the last episode. I sure don’t want her to intervene with Naksu’s second chance in life, I want her to have her own. She deserves her own fate not for or by others.

Yes! That’s all I want for her. If they found a miraculous way to give Naksu back her face and give her the second chance she deserved, why not bring JBY back at the end as an independent being, NO LONGER tied with naksu. Like you said she suffered from mistakes that are not hers that is clearly a victim.

It was never a matter of who’s powerful JBY vs Naksu, it’s just looking from JBY pov.. Like you said “she existed only for the purpose of Naksu and Jang Uk” and all that makes her a victim to me. However you look at it she had a sad fate. (P.S. when I say JBY just picture the child in the lake not JSM’s face I kinda understand where the defensive instinct is coming from)
