I think in the earlier episode there was an indication that the child is going to be aborted due to the mother's health is not fit to give birth. It happened in a dialogue between the parents and the FL when she came back from the gu gong after she had the dilemma that she will not be loved after her parents have another child. I'm not sure which episode though.
In the drama, I think she was accidently killed by her husband when he wanted to kill Chun Huang (Sea king from 7000 years ago). In the novel, I think there's a deeper plot. I'm pretty sure it because the Merman princess tried to poison Bai Wei, which made Lang Gun more angry than he was with the Merman and wanted to make them suffer. He was already displeased with Chun Huang because he became a male because he fell in love with Bai Wei. Bai Wei on the other hand, believe that her husband scheme the poison incident to use this as a reason to eliminate the Merman and get the army power from the six kings. In the time of peace, the six kings were kind of scheme each other for power and Lang Gun need a reason to get the military power back from them.

Mirror's ML is probably more than just 20. He's a merman, so he has a lifetime of 1000, so he might just be looking around his 20s. So at the start of Mirror, he might be more than 100 already (theory). I think from the novel, it's a HE.

It seem like they change Bai Ying's sister role/characteristic from the novel. From what I saw from the trailer, it seems like she "likes“ Bai Ying and hates Su Mo because Bai Ying chose Su Mo over her. It definitely seems like she will cause harm to the MLs.
