Novel readers told me Zhen Lan is alive until the end and he stays married with Bai Ying. Or should I say they…
I don't think Zhen Lan and Bai Ying ever married. I think Bai Ying only promises Zhen Lan that in the next lifetime they will be together. This is because mermen don't have the next life. But, in this lifetime, she will only be with Su Mo (even though he is gone).
So is no one in this drama a normal human being? I can get why the merman can live over 100 years without aging…
I'm not sure if I'm getting it right, but from what I heard from others is that the FL and her people are actually souls and that they kind of sacrifice themselves to open Colorless City.
Just a bit rant on the drama: I really hate how coach xiao is using other skaters on the team as 'supporting' members of Lou Xiao Yi. It's like how other skaters on the teams are only used as a stepping stone for that one skater. As an assistant coach for the team, he is only acting as a personal trainer for Lou Xiao Yi ( for the promise he made to her when they are young.) It's really selfish and I really hate how he believes that the team is useless without that girl. That being said, I think the main coach is more professional and caring despite her demeanor.
I also didn't watch 1 & 2. I just saw snippets of ML (played by another actor) in his older age in Douyin that's cut from either 1 or 2. I mainly read spoilers from the Chinese social media platform to know this.
In this drama, the cinematography, characters, and storyline are of utmost best. It's really sad that it's not subbed yet, which will be a miss for those who don't understand Chinese...This drama interestingly tells the story of antiques with a lot of humor. I really hope this drama gets picked up and subbed.
Unpopular opinion but does anyone else find Zhou Zhi Ruo annoying? She's so wishy washy, keeps crying and saying…
Yes, IKR. I feel the same too! I also find it annoying when she acts all weak like everybody is bullying her (especially when its near the end of the story)
after rewatching the first 12 episodes again i just have more questions. any thoughts welcomed!1. how are the…
For your fourth question, I personally don't think that grape is essential or an hidden plot for the story. (only up to ep 8) Grape is a unique and rare fruit during ancient China, and could only be obtained from western regions. (This is what I have read from other Chinese palace novels) Therefore, only the royal families would have grapes; to an extent, it can be a representation of status, or your importance to the emperor.
