I loved this drama! It did get kind of draggy at the end but this is what I expect when I see “slow burn” “smart female lead” “strong female lead” tags. Sometimes theses dramas will literally name and feature the female lead but it will only be about the male leads’ emotions or triumphs. I adored Ran Yan because she was smart and valued her freedom over anything. Romantic love is important and fine but I liked that Ran Yan really wanted to be free (and I feel like Xiao Song respected that the most out of both of the male leads). I think she ended up with the right guy by we know absolutely NOTHING about SuFu. I think Ran Yan was attracted to his “danger” and tbh I didn’t see/feel any real feelings between her and SuFu. I’m hoping for a sequel but I feel like we won’t get it or we won’t get all of our original actors together. Also normalize FL changing their minds about their romantic intentions! It’s okay.. and I do agree that they mostly paid Zhou Jie Qiong to get captured faint and wake up Lmao
This was soooooooooo good until we get to the Dayue arc. The acting, sets, and costumes were beautiful. There was so much chemistry between the characters, and for once I completely LOVED the female in an historical drama. Feng Zhi Wei was done wrong in the Dayue arc. I'm so upset.
Really great Drama that touches on a lot of important themes. Its actually one of the dramas I know I will rewatch in a few years. Great Cast, Great Acting, Great Directing! This was great sismance too! I'd watch a drama about Soo Ji and Bo Mi ANY day of the week.
What was done in this super short drama was so beautiful! The cinematography and the chemistry was amazing. I love Kim Seul Gi and she did wonderful in this too! I only wish this was longer.
I HAVE to find more female bodyguard rom-coms. I liked this a lot. Everyone was funny and I loved them (except Jong Hee). Also I liked Eun Jae’s family dynamic and the reversal of roles, Eun Jae and Dong Ah’s Sismance, and of course I wish we had more of the second couple.
