Absolutely loved the leads. Have lovved SJH since CLOY. Only thing that mattered in the the end was seeing 2 leads that clicked, I definately got my wish.
She's also in Because This is My First Life. She doesn't have as much screen time in this one but when she's on…
Thank you so much I'll definitely add that as well. I have now finished WTCB and have watched the first Reply 88 ( I understand the love for that now). She's great easily stands out in any scene.
In a total turnabout of feeling I'm not completely hating JJH anymore, just nervous about what he'll do. I still don't like the character but I guess its suspenseful. JNE!!?? I just don't get it she comes out the hospital room and tells KHK I told you I was selfish. I don't see how it drives the plot, he can't be conflicted. Keanu has to get it together!! Oh line last shout out to all "The Slap" fans out there.
I'm often waiting for the first passionate kiss in a drama, never realized I'd almost be as satisfied with the first slap!!! I didn't even know I needed that sooooo much
So....finally did a little background check on SHK because honestly I just love his acting and personality. OMG!! He was Ryu in Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance!! Now that is quite the change. I never would've made the connection. Its been awhile but still, crazy!!!
That last sentence.... SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE BACKFr though, he keeps asking why would she choose him even when…
Honestly what bothers me is the complete arrogance. He blows off Ha Ri when they're young gets married, has children, and finally gets dumped. All the while Ha To has had a terrible time with relationships he apparently hasn't even had a relationship with her, not even friends. Now it's I like you!!?? He was looking at a photograph of his wife and child (which he hid ) when Ha To came into his office. I'm upset
I think the camera too on last episodes....and about the most beautiful woman pleeeeeeease we know who it was....SJH…
Agreed!! On top of that SJH wasn't even in the top 100 what!!?? Her love story in CLOY is what really stuck with me and broke my heart. I guess I shouldn't mention this here because it's off topic but thanks for the heads up on Are you human too!! Now on episode 9 wasn't quite sure because I felt GSY was too deceitful but now it's great!
I'm wondering if I missed the camera work up to now. Episode 15-116 is the first I've been aware they are using a framing technique whereby the focus of the character is put far left or right of the screen often signifying isolation. Was used to great effect in the US series Mr. Robot. Anyway am loving this drama. Quick thought Son Ye Jin was picked most beautiful woman in the world when she wasn't even the most beautiful in CLOY! Shouldn't judge people on looks, but c'mon!!
OMG! Love the cheesy moments way too much!! Woo Do Hee "Seriously, is he trying to put out the fire or start one!" I can't help it Seo Ji Hye is absolutely adorable
Not sure if this is a drama thing or not. This is not the first drama or movie I've watched with romcom and back story of a serial killer. No judgement just can't remember theme in the western film or tv
Just started this drama pretty excited to watch Gong Hyo Jim again, but!! This may sound silly I'm almost as happy to see Kim Sun Young. I really adore her after discovering her in CLOY. A real scene stealer IMHO. This looks really good
The primacy of "first love" is a trope particular to Asian dramas. Like you, as a noob, I was perplexed by the…
Thank you so much ! I had a very strong suspicion there was some type of trope here. Surrounding characters seemed to not be particularly fond of the exes returning or their demands but no one was shocked. I could even understand " I made a mistake and I'll try to make up for it" but let's forget that and let's start dating again. Always have to keep my wits about me when thinking, hmm that doesn't seem right.
Some things cross cultures. I'm Canadian so for the most part strong showing of politeness never seems out of the ordinary. Of course there are huge differences but has never felt out of place to be considerate and largely thin about the other person. I could not even guess how often in a day I use and hear pardon me, oh exuse me, I apologize, oh sorry. Not always sincere taken for granted and ingrained into the society. Thanks again!!
I'm feeling a little mystified. I would say I'm still a newbie to this. About 40 movies (almost all romance) then discovered the wonderful draw of the drama and have completed 12 and current on 5. It just seems that "both" have been written to be ridiculously selfish. How can you date someone for 6 years and leave a text "I'm going abroad" (unless the original Korean gives something a little more?) No contact for 5 years no explanation really, just "Can't you forgive me and give me a second chance" It would be better to ask just for forgiveness and work from there. Opinion please- Is there maybe something subtle in translation or cultural I've missed or this bad story plot.
