Punn and Weir never had a love story. Weir had a crush on him and Punn is straight as they come. The story is…
I get that. Well, now at least. That's the issue though. At the beginning it's most definitely portrayed as a love story. With Weir confessing his love for Punn only to be reunited 10 years later. And not to mention the jealously and discomfort Punn shows whenever Jean is being affectionate towards Weir. And even further to this - the brief thing that happened between Weir and Pooh. I've watched enough queer shows to know what they're implying. It's like... just plain queer-baiting. And I don't throw around that term lightly.
Yes fair enough it's based on a manga but most people I assume won't have read this. And it's clear as daylight that initially (in the first few eps), this could develop into a love story. Not disappointed that it hasn't, more just disappointed at the messiness of the plot in general
I'll be honest, I've been enjoying this series so far but with every new episode it's getting tougher and tougher to get through. The whole thing is a mess. It's like they add a new side story every episode and don't bother clearing any of the others up. What is the deal between Punn and Weir, at the beginning of the series it's made out to be a long lost love story and now we're 8 episodes in and Punn is still repulsed by Weir's flirts and affection ? And this whole serial killer/kidnapper plot.. what does it even bring to the overall story? It's like they add a couple of minutes of it every episode but nothing actually happens. This whole series is a mess and I kinda regret sinking this amount of time into it when I could have been watching something else... any recommendations? lol
