Another Excellent CDrama
I love the screenwriting of Zhou Mo, who really knows how to portray strong female leads, beautifully, and well.I, first watched, and loved, Perfect Match—also, written by her, and enjoyed it, thoroughly, so followed it up with this series.
There's a lot of good messaging about strong women in her writing. She does it excellently.
The casting and acting in this series was very good. The storyline was different and very absorbing. Again, this one had it all: danger, treachery, some humor, drama, love. It was less light-hearted than Perfect Match, with lots more treachery and deception, and the sisters were not all as close and loving as in Perfect Match, but it was still a great watch and holds your interest through every episode.
With all the episodes contained in these CDramas, I, sometimes feel the endings are still a little rushed. I guess they have a certain amount of episodes and have to fit it all in a certain time constraint, but, they always have a decent completion, and are rarely disappointing.
Definitely, worth the watch.

Wonderful Series
I, thoroughly, enjoyed this CDrama, from start to finish. It was like the “Little Women” of costume CDramas. It had everything—a great story, well-written, great acting, with an excellent cast, humor, drama, pathos, and most of all lots of love. It’s refreshing to have a story of strong women, with all female leads’ stories being the main focus. My husband and I, both enjoyed this, thoroughly.
It all came together so well.

Am I the only one
I hated this series. I forced myself to watch up to ep. 8, but saw no value (to me) in this series. Every episode seemed to be mostly filled with gang fights and that was about it. I don’t appreciate the drug lord storyline, I don’t enjoy all the fighting, and there was no BL in the episodes I watched (that I can recall). On the other hand, I really LOVED Weak Hero Class 1, which had bullying, fighting, and NO BL elements. There is a big difference in the well-written, tight story, the comraderie, the acting, and the emotions, tied together, in WHC1 as opposed to whatever was happening in Bangkok Boy.
It doesn’t mean much that there’s going to be a Bangkok Boy 2, because they also made a Tide of Love 2!
I was NOT impressed.

Overall, A DECENT SERIES
Once more, a surprising “top.”I thought it was good, but I was, constantly, annoyed by the lack of communication when they were in school together. I guess a lack of communicating feelings is the ingredient in many of these stories which is the main source of all the drama. It can be frustrating, though, while watching.
Overall, it was watchable. The chemistry was decent and the leads were very good, as were all the cast members, as well as the direction.

It Wasn’t Bad—(which I thought it would be!)
Yes. I gave this an 8.5 to bring the 7.0 rating up a notch. It wasn’t a bad series, at all, and I was pleasantly surprised.I, pretty much, binged it, it was such an easy watch.
And, at least, it wasn’t juvenile.
I’ve never liked ANY series that Long was in, but I guess it was his “ship” with Frank that “sank” those series.
The storyline is simple, for the most part, and fairly straightforward. I can appreciate that. They can’t ALL be To My Shore, Revenged Love, ABO Desire, or Kill to Love!
Yes, a little more logic and intelligence would’ve taken it up a few notches, but it was fine, if you turn your brain off.

One of the Very Best
This series had such depth and realism. Everything about this series was far superior to most of the other BL series. The acting was superb, as was the casting, the direction, and the cinematography. It felt like you were watching a dramatic play.—Harold Pinter-style.This is not your typical, everyday series. It was more adult, even though there is little skinship; the sexual tension is present, underlying every episode.
All the actors should have won awards for this series, as well as the series, itself.

Overall a Pretty Decent Series
My main problem was in understanding Jeonghan’s motivations throughout the series. He was obviously friendly with Iljo when they were school age, but as an adult he apparently developed some sort of apathy, or antipathy, for him, without any real explanation.
He, obviously had some form of feelings for him to take him in and to continually take care of him. But, then it turned toxic so quickly. Why?
It also bothered me how abusively possessive he’d turn, how poorly he’d treat Iljo, again, without us understanding what drove him.
Apart from that, which I was, obviously, able to put aside, the story was different. The writing was decent. The characters were flawed and incomplete, but interesting.
Some people claim the ending fell flat, but it was fine. It had a satisfactory ending, in my opinion.
So, overall I did enjoy it, with all its faults. It’s, certainly, worth the watch.
UPDATE:
I’m rewatching it and I think I found the motivations that drove Jeonghan’s confusion, personality changes, and offensiveness— he was confused about being in love with and intimate with his cousin. I only figured it out, because I read so many comments from people who were disdainful toward that idea. It didn’t bother me, since they wouldn’t be having babies together, but I DO believe that may have been the driving force through the entire show, up until nearly the last episode.
I feel better now. I think the writers could have made that clearer, if that was the motivation behind every thoughtless and abusive turn of Jeonghan’s personality.

Ambitious, but Tragic!
From the start, I felt bad for Nankrai: always the brother, never the lover. The best NC scene was in his dream. And I sure fell in love with him!I didn’t feel there was ANY chemistry from the actor, who played Victor. I believe it was a fault in his acting ability.
Although, it was realistic, and unfortunate, that TK only felt brotherly toward Nankrai, it was disappointing.
It was a cute, entertaining series, until the final 2 episodes, when everything turns tragic.
The storyline, as I said in my header, was fairly ambitious, but I was NOT expecting 2 deaths, a time rewind, then another death. How depressing can a writer make a BL series? Answer: VERY!
I would not want to watch it again for the reasons stated above.
I didn’t hate it, I just think it could have been more satisfying to the viewer. The main character being sacrificed at the end was, in no way, “satisfying.” It’s like, the only one who can lead a happy life, after everything, would be Victor. And I didn’t like him enough to want that to be the outcome. But, I guess TK did.
Just TRAGIC.

Cute, Sweet, but too short!!!
After reading the other reviews, I was glad I have GagaOOLala (not for kids!).I didn’t know why it was labeled, “re-edited version,” but now I do. So what I watched was a normal series, consisting of 6 episodes, each about 17 minutes long.
The lead actors were really attractive and the acting was great, it had a very decent story, and it was depicted, pretty realistically.
I was relieved to see S Korea hasn’t lost their touch for quality, entertaining, somewhat compelling, BL series.

I Want to See This Film
I ‘ve wanted to be able to see this film, since hearing about it, almost two years ago.I refuse to watch on my phone, with ads, on Daily Motion or bilibili.
When will a major streaming service pick up this film?
I pay for three streaming services for Asian series & movies, so I’m highly disappointed that none of them have decided to air this film, for whatever reason.
I had to leave a rating in order to post this non-review, but I’m certain, from all I’ve heard & read that I will love it.
All the best gay films are, unfortunately, depressing, I’ve found.

I Really Loved It
First, let me say, that South Korea produces the best BLs with the most production value, best writing, directors, and actors. This series was no exception. My only criticism would be that I would have appreciated being let in, a little more, on the characters motivations and thoughts, and the other characters could have been fleshed out a bit more.
Like almost all of the Korean bl series, this one was too short, could have been longer to include more details about the characters.
But, I STILL loved it. I guess I’m lucky I don’t read the Manhwa versions before watching a series, because the readers always end up disappointed. But, hearing that there was more intimacy in the Manhwa, I may just see if an English version is available and read it, after the fact.

Korean BLs Are the Best BLs
Our Dating Sim is completely original in its story-telling. The quality of production is excellent, as is the writing, direction, casting, and acting. This series features two of the prettiest male leads of any bl series and they capture you, immediately with their acting and the characters they portray.
I loved it!
As with, almost, all Korean bl series, it could have been longer—in length of each episode and in number of episodes, but for being so short, they were able to tell a complete, fulfilling show.
Kansahamnida!

It’s a Winner
What with beautiful, multi-faceted, and highly talented lead actors playing their roles excellently, and a well-written, complex story, what could be bad? There are numerous things going on in the present, as well as under the surface, and in the past, to keep you intrigued every minute, and anticipating what comes next, for the whole story.
My one criticism is that they didn’t create enough “rising tension” throughout.
And I feel bad for Pei & Gong.
(As of ep. 21)

Absolutely NO STORY
I would have given up on this, already, if the brevity of each episode wasn’t a PLUS!The lack of storyline, the overabundance of kissing scenes, which lack any, and all, eroticism, or give any feelz; all add up to a huge “nothing burger” of a “series,” if you want to call it that. I doubt the last 5 episodes will help redeem itself, but I’ll stay, anyway.
I’m sad that a Korean BL production decided to give us, the fans, nothing of value, here. Highly disappointing.

This short series did NOT disappoint
It was short, yes, but beautifully told and portrayed.
The actors were fantastic and beautiful, the story, surprisingly well-rounded and complete. The characters had depth and they were even able to give us their backstories. Amazing.
A complete gem in a small shell is still valuable.
Since shower scenes are my, absolute, favorite 🤩 this did not disappoint me, in the least.
I LOVED it 🥰
