Yes xue3 is the colloquial form. I think the contrast was when XY pronounces it like that but XL says xie3 in the next few lines. So there was kinda inconsistency throughout the show. 🤣 i think it stood out to me cos i was taught never to use that form. Other than that bit, i loved YZ voice acting! My first tears for the show was the scene where she mistook ah nians mum for her mum. 😭 i was converted from that moment. I think DW will use his voice in his new dramas, (or at least the trailers sounded like himself.)

LYF had such great voice acting from the orginal actors! The only thing that grated on me was YZs xue3 血 instead of xie3 or xue4. How did they let it pass! I would have liked to hear DWs voice cos i thought he sounded better than the dub. But maybe his delivery or confidence wasnt there yet.
This actress Sun Yun'er/Fangfeng Yiying has such a great villain face!
