I jumped in and read 20 chapters in the middle, around chap60 (jin guo) to 80 (turning immortal). I think i will read the novel after the drama ends to fill in the missing details. The novel makes ttj much more evil but really lacks the description like 2ha. Some scenes are like only 1 paragraph or worse, 1 sentence. Yes someone commented the novel is a lot darker and the characters quite different from the drama. That got me interested! But because i already know the main storyline from drama, im not sure i have the patience to finish it. Haha. I think i will give it a go!
