The only way I can explain the positive reviews would be if there were two productions of this series. I must have watched the wrong one. Yes, Peterpan was great and the chemistry was good, but what does it say about the story when time travel is the only thing that actually makes sense? To me this was a bad Lakorn with some boring love scenes in between and hardly any connection between the two.
The only problem with this film is that it doesn't know what it wants to be. Is it a gay love story? Political/social commentary? Horror/thriller? Sometimes the whole is less than the sum of its parts. I would still recommend it though.
This was way better than expected based on the poor ratings. The show certainly doesn't fall into the same category as many other BLs, where two guys belong together, but then drama happens that keeps them apart until the last episode. No, this is slower paced, almost like a documentary, that captures quite well the various stages of falling in love, from flirtation to embarrassment to butterflies in the stomach and, yes, sex. Beboy's character was a bit too much perhaps. Overall I really enjoyed it.
Sorry, but I really didn't get it. The story was hard to follow. Cha Yeo Woon hates Tae Myung Ha one minute and inexplicably falls in love the next. Throughout the whole series I was kept wondering who would end up together as a couple, not to mention in which time line.
I got fooled into watching this by all the high ratings. Be warned this is a lakorn and no matter how good of a lakorn, it's still soapy as heck. I eventually sped up to 2x which made it a little more tolerable.
The best part was the bromance between the half-brothers. I really want to see a Film-Tongtong BL someday!
Very cute and funny. Worth watching. Typical for Japanese dramas, inner emotions are expressed with outward physical antics. It's unfortunate that Fukuhara has homophobic thoughts internalized and can't quite get rid of them even in the last episode. As the title suggests, he has "no choice" but to kiss a man.
I would still recommend it though.
