Y’all hate fun, it’s only episode one so the story needs to be set. I thoroughly enjoyed the first ep and cannot wait till next friday! MarkOhm you’re both doing so good!!
I don’t usually comment on here after a show is finished but I just want to say a couple things. First of all…
I also want to add that this is doing very well in china despite it being low budget which says a lot as well because I’m sure you all know cnets are incredibly brutal and honest hahaha
I don’t usually comment on here after a show is finished but I just want to say a couple things. First of all it’s absolutely fine if this drama isn’t your cup of tea as that’s literally the point in reviews, this sort of slow paced vibe and this type of comedy isn’t for everyone! However I’ve seen quite a lot of comments on here criticizing the Mls acting. As someone who has read the novel I think Jun pulled of the closed off vibe of Ling Chao very well and the character in the series is actually more nice/ less cold ( not sure how to phrase it) than in the novel. Also may I just point out that I saw somewhere that whilst filming Jun apparently over expressed too much at first and the director had to guide him to be more as some of you put it ‘stiff’. Jun hasn’t acted in almost ten years ofc his acting isn’t going to be Oscar worthy in this webdrama but the pure fact that Juns irl personality is the complete opposite of Ling Chao says enough. One more thing, as a cdrama watcher of many years wifty fans are incredibly annoying comparing both these dramas as well as the actors, it’s incredibly disrespectful to expect an actor to stay coupled up with the same actor for the rest of their career when this is their job! If you’re not over wifty just rewatch it it’s that simple! I personally thought that this fulfilled its job of a not too serious, slow paced romcom with lots of chemistry between the leads (another thing that I saw people criticizing which I can’t believe, the chemistry was the best part of this show imo, I mean just watched the bts and interviews).
We have the same concerns too. As a fan of Yiyi CP, it concerns us too that both Zhou Yiran and Zhang Miaoyi's…
I think you worded this really well. I am a HUGE jun fan but also a big cdrama fan who loved wifty. As you said i think it’s inevitable for comparisons but i still hope wifty fans are respectful and vise versa. I think a lot of people are underestimating the chemistry between the two as i have seen like every update and behind the scenes and i really think jun and miaoyi are great together. I also agree that Iqiyi should be smart and air this asap. I’m very excited!
they will most likely release them whilst or after the drama airs, i only knew about this because a jun fan account i follow on twt posted all this info.
It seems that hopefully this will air this month. Jun went back to china for promotions yesterday and the director is giving hints as well as daily updates. It’s really nearly here!!!!
