And really bad French. And it's so obvious there is voice doubles for both of them. Sloppy job.
Tbh, the drama’s for a Chinese audience, and most of them wouldn’t really know if the French was good or not. Happens the other way around too—plenty of Western shows have butchered Chinese way worse. Like, in Iron Man 3, the Mandarin lines were so awkward and unnatural, native speakers were totally thrown off. Sloppy dubbing’s a universal thing, not just a C-drama issue!
