right, and I think that was going to be the result too but if you remember they were given the option to apologize and take it back... had they done so probly only the grandfather was going to be punish with the rest of the sons fired from court, but instead they said naw we stand by what we said. The other option is do what the Lin family did, retire and move away from the capital.

Loved this drama, but honestly the one things or person I can't stand is the family head of Sheng. You would rather stay ten toes down about a decision you previously made instead of apologizing and save your whole family??? At this point I can't even stay mad at the Lin family for not warning them, because when the Shen patriarch found out they still had time to send the family away somewhere but NOOOO "integrity"....
Watching FL younger cousin die willingly was so painful...
But alas great show, great story telling great acting.

It kinda wouldn't make sense for her to explode at ML, if u remember ML was a kids//teen and had no say or authority when both his a**hole of a father and gramps made the decision to leave them and they did the same thing when they forced him to marry that zhao family girl
