CLASSY TALE OF GIRL ON GIRL CRIME

Probably my favorite K-Drama of all time. The story, the acting, the writing, the music score—everything is perfect! I watched this in 2009, and I think I've rewatched this three times already. I like to thank this drama for existing because I developed my writer's voice watching this. I realized that the protagonist can also be strong and sometimes evil to defeat a higher evil, more intelligent antagonist.

Mishil might be the villain, but she unconsciously raised and taught Deokman the proper ways of ruling a kingdom. And for that, she still deserves respect!

ONE OF THE BEST REVENGE DRAMAS IN RECENT YEARS

Makjang is my favorite genre, and this one takes the cake! Sure, it's slow and tough to watch in the first four weeks but that's the magic of it. The FL needs to experience the deepest of hells first before climbing back to the top!

I love Jae In and her journey to revenge. There are some plot inconsistencies, of course, but the fast pacing, the acting, and the revenge arc eclipse them.

Love, love this!

Finally it's over. Not bad. Not excellent either.

The first 30 episodes are great. What a refreshing trope to see again. After Queen's House, where the FL became fierce and strong from being dumb and gullible, I was happy to see something that depicts an anti-hero. However, the story dragged in the middle. The important reveals were too early and from eps. 50-80-ish, the characters simply ran around in circles with the same goal. To take down Jin Tae Seok. Sadly, this bastard was super slippery, and when it was time to finally take him down, his punishment was anticlimactic. Didn't even suffer, just straight up dead.

It was exhausting. But hey, I'm a completist, so I didn't skip a single episode. I love some of the character developments, though. Especially Gong Nan Sook. She's the gold in this show. His scenes with the medium chef are pure comedy! I love it! That's the redeeming factor for me, so I didn't give this a rating below 5.

ONE OF MY TOP FIVE K-DRAMAS!

I was 14 when I watched this, and I was smitten by everything! Han Hyo Joo and Lee Seung Gi's chemistry was the right combination of sweet and warm. I even wrote a fanfiction of this set in Silla (lol it was the same time I watched this with Queen Seondeok. Imagine the power of 2009 K-Dramas!). I designed my lead OCs like Eun Sung and Hwan!

HA JI WON'S BEST DRAMA

Everything is perfect. Ah! It's so good. The acting, the writing, the costumes, the story, everything. There's a mixture of war, history, romance, women's empowerment, and a bittersweet tragedy. Ha Ji Won really showcased her best acting chops in here. Ji Chang Wook and Jo Jin Moo were actors incarnate! And Baek Jin Hee? Yassss! You may have been the villain of the show but my God! You were so effective as Tanashiri!
