The father also favored Yiren the most and showed affection to Qi Shui simply because he was a child. Kaiyan was always left behind—completely deprived of love, alone, and excluded. I don’t justify his crimes, but his mental state was damaged because of these reasons. If his parents had fulfilled their responsibilities properly, things wouldn’t have turned out this way.
