Throughout the drama, whenever I saw the arguments between Zhong Xueman and Zhuge Kongyun, I kept feeling like something was off. In the final episode, when they were trapped in the tunnel and Kong Yun reacted to hearing that XueMan had taken the poison—I felt that same sense again.

If you ask me, Bei Ming and Xiao Man were childhood friends, and it would’ve been better if they had just stayed that way. There was no romantic feeling between Xiao Man and Bei Ming in the drama. In contrast, the CP vibe between Xiao Man and Kong Yun felt much stronger. Anyway, I hope that if there’s a second season, we’ll get to see more of our flamboyant peacock on screen—and that they find a partner for him too.
