I made it 3 episodes before I had to drop it. I was kind of hoping it would have a bit of an Amelia Bedelia sort of cleverness to the absurdity, but at some point (probably the pen spinning sub-sub-plot) I felt like I was just being asked to laugh at someone with a severe learning disability. To be honestly, I'm pretty ambivalent about humor that "punches down" or touches on sensitive things, but this show just felt a bit much. And the rest of the premise was insufficiently gripping to warrant sticking around to see where all the silliness paid off. tldr: They neither successfully execute the idiot savant trope, nor do they attempt to subvert it (at least not before my patience ran out).
