Absolutely loved this, totally enlightened me on some other figures I wasn't aware of! I would love to see one (or even a special dedicated to it?) on King Sukjong's era known for so many events especially with many dramas on Queen Inhyun, Jang Ok-Jeong, Prince Sado, Yeoning/Yeongjo, Gyeongjong and so on. I find myself returning to the Wikipedia pages on this (especially since Haechi is airing) since so many dramas touch bases on it!
I love how this went beyond the Joseon era into Silla and Goguryeo! Maybe you can do Goryeo (Scarlet Heart) too?
I actually really like the drama, and I don't think that there is anything wrong with the plot. As much as we are used to overly dramatic story lines. Of course, there are the cliches and the what not, but what drama doesnt have them right? If you think of this drama as one of the more light genres, its quite good. It's definitely a drama you look forward to.
I started watching it for Lee Hyun Woo, I've been a fan of him for a while. It's nice to see him do this kind of a role. His last drama (To the Beautiful You) he played an entirely different character, so you see how good at acting he is in this drama c:
I didn't like Reply 1997 either, and it kind of made me unwilling to watch the rest of the series.
It was too suspenseful for no reasons, and I think it made normal life events kind of too "makjang" for a drama that's supposed to be relateable.
My love from another star was interesting in the beginning because JJH's character was unique and entertaining, in a comedic way. The story line was pretty normal for the first part and I found nothing wrong with that, but it became too predictable and dry in terms of occurances. It was getting way to corny as well.
