Is no one else bothered by the fact that they tried to make the female lead unattractive by giving her darker skin and wavy textured hair?? Oh and of course glasses. My guess is that she is going to lose the glasses, straighten her hair, and get lighter skin and then will be more socially acceptable. Not a great message to put out there.
Is episode 12 the last episode?? I thought there were supposed to be 16 episodes but at the end of episode 12 they showed pictures of the making and production of the drama and usually they do that on the last episode.
Do you have to watch the movie before the series? Are or they independent from each other?
They are independent of each other. The movie was made first and then the series was made which uses the same basic plot but reinterprets the story line from the movie and adds on to it. So you don't have to watch the movie to understand the series.
I am so confused. Everyone seems so sure that Chang An is still alive but where do you get that from? I know people say that his location is printed on the fan--okay...what exactly does the fan say? Also, why would he leave and leave behind a cryptic . I jut don't understand why he would need to leave if he did indeed survive being tortured. Does anyone have thoughts on this?
I'm not really a fan of dramas where a woman has to loose weight and go through an extreme makeover in order to get a man and feel worthy. I wanted to like this but I found the plot a bit disturbing in that respect. I wish there were more dramas where the unconventionally attractive female lead finds love without having to change or apologize for what she looks like.
I loved this!! The story was great but so was the acting and cinematography It was just so well done! I was so happy that this was made easily accessible to international fans--I purchased this through Vimeo and I hope their future projects are available this way. I am definitely going to keep an eye on strongberry--I cant wait to see what they come up with next!
SHINee is my definite favorite. They were one of the first kpop groups I listened to and I just love how fun and uplifting their music is. I was lucky enough to see them at their fanmeeting in Chicago and they were awesome!
