I truly think what makes this drama stand out is the amount of detail they put into some of the shots like the editing team is doing a great job of selling this story
I really loved the chemistry between the leads! I would totally believe if someone told me they were together…
I feel like for a show called The Trunk they didn't use it as a metaphor or for a theme of something as much as they should've. Could've made the show more interesting...
I truly think this show would've been better had the editors done a better job but there were so many missteps. There was no visual indicator of when we were in the present or future like a shift in colors for example. A lot of the shots were kind of boring and made the suspense that was supposed to be heightened throughout the show fall flat. And I also kind of felt like the plot was super played out. By the middle I could kind of guess how the story would unfold.
It's super regrettable bc I could totally see what they were going for; it's supposed to feel like one of those deep indie films you watch at sundance, but it feels like a lack of care came into play when it was on the cutting room floor made the show fall flat and lessened my experience.
Ryu Suyeon (the lead actress of Poker Face) is played by Ryu Jiwon (new stage name; used to go by her birth name Kim Jiwon for acting and is currently a member of the girl group IRRIS under the stage name I.L)
