Every time he got irritated, he mistreated Xiao Yao. Someone like Xiang Liu cannot be someone soft and kind, his irritation is understood, but not approved. Simple as that, right? But why do some people romanticize his abuse by saying he is sexy? Certainly he hates himself for being a jerk, and so he goes about hiding his love (not the only reason but also part of why they can't be together, in the novel it goes into more depth) and trying to make it so his beloved can have the life she desires. It is admirable his development, it is admirable that he is aware of his mistakes. So why do some of you justify and try to sugar coat him, instead of understanding the roots of the character and his reasons? 🤨
At this point, there is only justification for him exclusive and hate for the rest of the characters lmao. Even Tushan Jing's brother can be understood if we use the same rule we used for Xiang Liu, specially with psychologic views...
