Poor Mew. Two of his shows are the worst rated BLs of all time. What the Duck and Love is Like a Cat. I think…
Well maybe not memorable for you but it’s a different case in the Thai local scene. I’m talking in particular about his lakorn Rak Rai which helped mew gain prominence among the thai GP. When it was airing, the lakorn was racking up millions of views across fb, tiktok, etc and got people talking, celebs included. Even until now, I still see locals referencing Banthao (mew’s character in that lakorn) everytime they see mew in other shows. It’s that memorable.
I’m just saying that by your TharnType standard (which is a series that had lots of problematic tropes), mew definitely had way better script and roles than that. But maybe they’re just not your cup of tea.
Tbh i didn't expect much after all that mess with the Hanyang production team but still, I didn't find it as bad as some people make it out to be. It's cute, fluffy and easy to watch. But Mew was definitely the saving grace of the show for me.

Mew's non-BL shows are much better in my opinion. His lakorn with Davika was excellent and successful in Thailand, and he also played a queer character in another mainstream lakorn, which is rare for a lakorn in a major channel, but was surprisingly well-received by the locals. So idk why people are saying that he has not had good roles since TharnType when in reality, he is doing very well outside of BL and is now working with so many established actors and actresses.
I was quite surprised seeing mew, I came across this accidentally in viki and found out the main lead is mew.…
That's not true. Mew has always said before that he'd like to act in other BL series in the future. In fact, he already had 2 queer roles after Tharntype- one in this korean bl and the other one was in a mainstream lakorn which was well-received by the thai gp. I think you might be confusing him with Gulf who said that he won't play in other BLs again unless his partner is mew.

Nope. After Tharntype, Mew has always said that he'd like to act in other BL dramas in the future. In fact, he already had 2 queer roles after TT - one in this korean BL and the other one was in a mainstream lakorn which was well-received by the Thai GP.
Nope, I think you got him confused with his ex-BL partner Gulf who said that he used to make fun of a guy classmate for being too "girly" back in school. Mew is queer and he's always been vocal about his support for marriage equality in Thailand. Even had a whole speech about it during a big awards ceremony.
First of all, why did he even come back to acting like? Wasn't he the one saying he won't be doing bls anymore…
Wow so much misinformation and deep hatred without checking facts. First of all, mew has always said that he's interested in playing more BLs in the future (and after Tharntype, he had 2 more queer roles. One for this korean BL and another in a mainstream lakorn). In fact, it was gulf who said that he won't play in other BLs unless his partner is mew. Also, the shippers that mew called out were the toxic ones who literally hired a stalker to follow him around and who kept harassing him, his family and friends just because he refused to do fanservice with gulf anymore. In the same series of tweets, he even thanked the "lovely" shippers who know their boundaries and made it clear that he's only calling out the disrespectful ones. Idk if people are just being dense on purpose or they're just mad because they fit into the toxic category of shippers that mew called out.
The cherry on top is BL stans accusing mew, an openly queer actor, of being "gay for pay". Toxic BL stans never fail to surprise me with their audacity.
The story is interesting and the lead actors were all very good. I especially liked Mew and Belle's scenes that they even got me crying at some point. Overall, this was a well-executed movie but my only complaint is that I wish this was released on a more accessible platform and not just mostly limited to Thai viewers. Had to download VPN and do the whole shebang just to be able to watch it legally. Worth it though!
You might want to add a spoiler tag for your comment 😅 I think the reason why Banthao never made a move is because Venika outright told him that there's no way they would ever become lovers (this was during that one flashback scene in a bar where P'Chao warned them why it's never a good idea for friends to be in a relationship). And to be fair, Banthao warned her plenty of times about Teerakit and kept telling her to think carefully but well, we all know how that ended for her lol.
Teerakit and Dangwad are actually married. So basically T lures rich women and makes them fall in love with him…
Same lol I have zero sympathy for Venika because she brought this all on herself. Literally all of her friends warned her about Teerakit but she never listened.
GROSSS! Someone can tell me if there is something sexual between T and his aunt? I watch a preview end of ep 14…
Teerakit and Dangwad are actually married. So basically T lures rich women and makes them fall in love with him and then steal their money. They're just pretending to be aunt/nephew and using fake identities as part of their scheme to scam these women and they've been doing this for 10 years.
i’ve been looking forward to seeing mew act again and i’m glad he’s finally making a big comeback this 2023! his lakorn with davika seems very promising, and of course The Ocean Eyes too.
As if Gulf’s stans haven’t been spreading hate and attacking Mew for over 2 years now. Oh boy, if you only…
so many of mew’s co-workers and friends in the industry always say that he may look fierce on the outside but in reality, he’s just a kind and soft-hearted nerd. but somehow, these chronically online, pathetic haters think they know him better lol
Super Maen is a short but very meaningful series. I especially love how this series was able to convey so many deep and impactful lessons that are relevant in today's society in such a warm and lighthearted way. It's also very nice that aside from the english subtitles, there's also a sign language option available which makes it inclusive and understandable to as many people as possible.
Mew's acting was really great and he was spot-on as Maen. Although this isn't really a romance drama, I actually find that he has amazing chemistry with both Smile and Tanshi. His scenes with the little kid Hero are very heartwarming and funny too. All in all, I can say that this is definitely a series that will make you smile a lot and is worth watching.
