i don`t think you can judge wedding plan for having a "shitty plot" while simultaneously saying tharntype and…
so it`s okay for you to post your opinion but not for me to question it? you`re allowed to point out what you liked and disliked about the show, but i`m not allowed to say that that i`m disagreeing with the way you`re talking about it? I didn`t "just share my opinion and leave" because i genuinely wanted to understand your perspective, and i actually wanted to gain something from posting my comment, maybe even learn from it. the only thing i learned is that there`s no point in trying to have a discussion with someone who isn`t open to discussions to begin with.
also, i`m not persuading you to do anything, i just voiced my opinion, just like you, on how i personally would have wished for you to have phrased your feedback, from a totally subjective point of view, which is why i was continuously using phrases like "to me", "personally", "i think/feel", etc. But whatever, you don`t agree with me, i don`t agree with you, and that`s completely fine.
i don`t think you can judge wedding plan for having a "shitty plot" while simultaneously saying tharntype and…
I totally agree that the miscommunication part is way too dragged out, but then again, what were we expecting from a memindy show? miscommunication is kind of mame`s thing.
and we may not have the same opinion about tharntype and lita, but i think it`s hard to rank these shows or say that one show is worse than the others when they are all pretty similar to me. So calling wedding plan shitty while saying tharntype and lita are brilliant doesn`t really make sense to me personally, plus you could have phrased that a little differently while still getting your point across. You didn`t have to use the word shitty and say you were glad wedding plan only has 7 episodes instead of 12, that was not very nice, in my opinion.
I also get that you want to finish this show, i felt the same way watching step by step, which i finished even though i absolutely hated it. and there were moments where i just wanted to go online and rant about how much that show frustrated me. but i knew that there were people out there actually connecting with the characters and getting joy out of watching it, so i kept my negative opinions to myself instead of posting them online, because they could have potentially made some people sad. i think that`s important to keep in mind when voicing any kind of feedback.
i don`t think you can judge wedding plan for having a "shitty plot" while simultaneously saying tharntype and…
By "positive" i meant the phrasing, not the general opinion. You can absolutely share your honest opinion, but you don`t have to be mean about it.
I`ve never said wedding plan was not messy, in fact, that was actually my point all along. You cannot say one mame show is better or worse than the other when they all have a lot of similar tropes and conflicts (like you said, issues with consent, manipulation, miscommunication, etc.).
I actually love to read other people`s analyses and feedbacks, even when i don`t agree with them, as long as they don`t just try to spread hatred and negativity. There`s already enough of that in the world as it is.
i don`t think you can judge wedding plan for having a "shitty plot" while simultaneously saying tharntype and…
I`m sorry, it`s just so frustrating to me. There is the saying "if you don`t have anything nice to say, don`t say anything at all." And i`m all here for positive, constructive criticism, but there was nothing positive nor constructive about OP`s comment, they were just bashing the show for highly subjective reasons, ruining the fun for those who actually enjoy it. So my suggestion to not watch it was genuine. Why watch a show if you`re just going to complain about it? That kind of hatred and negativity is really not necesarry and a huge waste of time they could instead spend on watching a show they actually enjoyed. You are telling me "if you`re going to be rude, just don`t respond at all", well then maybe if you`re only gonna comment shit about a show, just don`t comment at all.
And yes, maybe my comment about lita and tharntype was uncalled for, but i think it`s very hypocritical to call wedding plan shitty and Lom a red flag, when tharntype and lita romanticize stuff like sexual assault, homophobia and gaslighting your partner.
shiballlllllllllll...... I never expected this from mame and memindy why they are bringing this shittest plot…
i don`t think you can judge wedding plan for having a "shitty plot" while simultaneously saying tharntype and love in the air were "brilliant". tharntype`s plot was super toxic and problematic whereas love in the air didn`t have a plot in the first place. Also, if you dislike it so much, maybe just don`t watch it?
you're telling me your heart didn't absolutely crush in the opening scene of uwma when intouch was wailing over…
i know, i know, i didn't mean it in a bad way, sorry if it came off that way. i'm personally a big fan of earth's acting. and his (together with fluke's) performance in umwa was the reason i had a mental breakdown every single episode. but like you said, this is just my personal taste. and i agree, fluke's acting in that one scene remains untouched.
I'm sorry but I'm gonna say this.. in his debut Santa is acting circles around Earth... earth's emotional scenes…
you're telling me your heart didn't absolutely crush in the opening scene of uwma when intouch was wailing over korn's dead body? or when eiw broke down realising his feelings for cake? you're hardcore, dude
Ok This is not a complaint but I noticed a small inaccuracy with the time period reference. They are apparently…
Well, considering that the show takes place in a more rural area in Thailand, it`s also possible that MSN messenger has already been a thing for a while in the western world, but only became popular/accessible in their hometown a few years later.
i disagree, i personally relate a lot to Earth`s character. The self-conciousness, the social anxiety, being clingy…
No need to thank me. I feel like it should be obligatory to be respectful towards each other, in real life as well as on the Internet (sadly, that`s so often not the case), so thanks to you, too. And i admire how open-minded you are, that`s also not a given.
I think youâre right! I think thereâs gonna be a time jump or we will gradually see them grow up over the…
aah that would make so much sense. But wouldn`t that be a huge time jump? Let`s assume they`re 15-16 here, and the plot starts in 2006 or 2007 at the latest. That would make them approximately 30 years old by the time it`s 2022.
I agree with the thing about the phone ads, though lmao
i disagree, i personally relate a lot to Earth`s character. The self-conciousness, the social anxiety, being clingy…
i understand where you`re coming from and i respect your opinion. to me, it`s just a matter of taste. Some people will enjoy the show and the characters while others won`t, and that`s completely fine.
Does anyone know in what time the show is supposed to take place? Because the calendar in the opening sequence shows August 2022, but when you look at Cake`s room, it seems more like it`s set somewhere in the early 2000s. The ancient computer, the gameboy, the usage of MSN and let`s not forget the atrocities that are the 2(!) Jesse McCartney posters. So I`m a little confused right now.
Let's be honest, this is just meh don't you think? If I continue and I don't think I can, I'll have forgotten…
i disagree, i personally relate a lot to Earth`s character. The self-conciousness, the social anxiety, being clingy of the people he`s close to... Is he a bit cringy? Maybe, but aren`t most teenagers like that? I for sure wasn`t any less annoying when i was his age. But I guess it comes down to personal experiences and preferences.
I havenât seen this yet but even I agree with this. âConstructive crtisismâ yet theyâre back here every…
I totally agree. At first, I thought "Triage" should get a lot more recognition (I still kinda do, because the show is phenomenal and everyone should have seen it). But on the other hand, I feel like the bigger the fandom of a show is, the more toxic said fandom becomes (a great example for that would be KinnPorsche, a lot of great people in the fandom but also a lot of problematic jerks). And like you said, since the episodes were not available for the general public, or at least not for long, I think only the ones who were really interested in the show kept on watching it.
Just remember, when those same people come wagging their finger in your face, attacking you for your view, youâll…
I have to thank you for your supportive words :) And yeah, it really feels like some of these commentators think they are professional screenwriters all of a sudden. Like, if you don`t enjoy the show, then don`t watch it, you don`t have to ruin the fun for others though.
I`m actually kinda frustrated with these comments right now. I totally get the critics on the pacing, the writing, etc., I really do. But all the comments on how the show "lacks substance"? Honey, what you`re watching IS the plot, the "substance". Could different writing/different pacing improve it? Maybe. But the source material, the main story, remains the same either way. If you don`t like it, if you think it`s boring, that`s completely valid. But then why are you watching the show in the first place? Why invest time on content you`re not interested in? You`re free to drop it, you don`t have to leave a public negative comment about it. I think there`s already enough negativity on the Internet as it is.
And don`t tell me it`s "constructive criticism", because like I said, the plot stays the same. Claiming that the show doesn`t have any substance doesn`t provide anything useful or insightful, it just tells me that it`s not your cup of tea. Like I said, completely valid but also completely irrelevant in terms of the quality of the show.
I personally like the pacing, and I really think it keeps on getting better from episode to episode. I do have some complains about a thing or two (for example the follow up to the kissing scene in episode 5). But as of now, it feels a little unfair to the cast and crew to judge the plot in that way when we`re only on episode 5 out of 12.
First off, I generally really enjoyed this show. It was well written, acted and had great pacing considering there are "only" 5 episodes.
But am I the only one who thought it was a bit misogynistic? They were constantly belittling girls/women in a way where they made it appear as if young girls only care about boys, gossiping and cute desserts. Don`t get me wrong, there are a lot of girls who do enjoy all these things, and there`s absolutely nothing wrong with it. But there`s way more to a girl`s personality than that. Not to mention that boys/men can be into all these things, too.
This is unfortunately not the first bl where women are portrayed as silly and naive (or even worse: obsessive and manipulative). I`m just so sick of this narrative and i wished this show would have handled this topic differently and more maturely.
