Oh, and bth, it’s pretty clear now that QM did NOT give up on QX. Though I have to wonder if maybe she might be preggars and sees this as a way to resolve that. I’m not going to hate on that, though. Women in that era were left with few options. You do what you need to do with the resources you have available to you. So, less puppy at this point if my theory is true.

Well, that’s not what I meant, exactly. I never meant to imply that QY is heartless. But she clearly tends to view circumstances from a more logical perspective than the other women in her family. And, to be honest, QM really hasn’t been taught how to take care of herself. She’s been taught to be pretty and marry well. So, yeah, kind of like a puppy.

Well, I don’t know if QY necessarily sees QM as a “dear” person but more like someone that she should protect. QY is a strong person who isn’t going to wait around for someone to sweep in and save her, but she knows QM doesn’t have that strength - same as the other females in the family. But what holds QM apart from her own, weak biological mother is that QM doesn’t truly want to hurt anyone. She makes misguided decisions based on her fears and weakness. I think QY just wants to protect her the same way we’d protect a little puppy.
The last time I anxiously waited for a new episode of a drama I was following (which, to be honest, wasn’t *that* long ago) was Cupid’s Kitchen. I loved the series, but I really hope the final payoff is better with this drama.

But if we stay true to the era, women weren’t really encouraged to grow as individuals at that time. They existed solely to support the men in the family in whatever way the family saw fit (family rules). I’m not hating that I was born a female in modern times no matter how much I love these dramas.
Anxiously waiting for the next episodes!!! I’ve been trying to feed my addiction to this series by watching clips on YouTube, but I really hate it when I find a clip that looks like it’s gonna be about the upcoming romance from the two leads, and it ends up being a few seconds of that and the rest is stuff from the first few episodes. Major clickbait.
The posters are hoping to draw you in thinking you might see something new about our current favorite couple, then you end up wasting your time watching something you’ve already seen many times before.
I’ve heard that YouTube is set up in a way that if people don’t finish watching a video, the posters don’t get as much $$$. So as soon as I see that this video is yet another rehash of early episodes, I move on.
Finally new episodes! I am so glad:1. ML decided to keep the key before he found out FL was the girl he saved.…
They absolutely need more screen time! I think that’s one of the things I hate most about romance dramas. It seems like the writers don’t know what to do with the lead characters’ romance, so they add unnecessary and sometimes ridiculous obstacles rather than just letting us enjoy a romance in bloom.
I’m so happy that Liang Yi *finally* knows that Qui Yan is the girl he saved all those years ago. I love that it’s gonna mess with his logic-loving head for a little while as he’s planning his wedding to her sister. Heart +1; Political matches +0
I’m so in love with this series! I watch A LOT of Asian dramas, but I don’t easily find a drama that captivates me from the beginning. Even though I’m not super crazy about the FL (I just watched her in Dream Garden) I do love her interaction with the ML. I was waiting for DAYS for the next episodes to become available, and I’m happily watching 13 and 14 as I write this. I HATE that I can’t binge this series. Aarrghh!
TBH, I’m not really sure what set you off. I thought this was just a sharing of ideas. But apparently I’m only supposed to share your ideas? Hmmmm
