it was goin great till the Somi character appeared.. i cant help but roll my eyes.. they r in heaven..it s not…
and why was hae suk convinced that Somi was young ae??? She s seen Youngb ae her entire life, and she never looked like that.. there wasnt any option to change ur appearance either, u could only chose ur age.. ngl this whole Somi subplot is irritating
it was goin great till the Somi character appeared.. i cant help but roll my eyes.. they r in heaven..it s not like she s gon get mugged or killed if they kick her out.. so why would they let her stay lol.. meh unnecessarily annoying
ah yea.. imo the Michelin stars guy was very objective and unbiased, cuz he s not part of the show biz community, so he wasnt playin favors with the famous white spoons unlike the older guy
he served in iraq??!!! loool this guy is an all rounder i must say.. wonder if his cuisine has a touch of middle eastern flavors inspired by his dispatch period
it s gon b hard to top the previous season.. production wise. it s doable... but findin a cast as interesting and relatable as Chef Edward Lee. Chef Triple star and the Dim Sum queen, the comic book chef... etc.. i think it would b veryy hard.
the 1st season had its flaws obviously.. but the contestants were so captivating, it was almost impossible not to bond and react to them
because the small judge is the guy with 3 Michelin stars lol.. more experience and knowledge when it comes to international cuisines and technics.. while the other judge is more of a korean food specialist only (correct me if i m wrong).
this show was really really good not until the final round, they should've made it more exciting and thrilling…
ASJ comes across at the most unbiased judge i v seen on a cookin show tbh. Idk if it s the persona they created for him in this show, or it s his actual personality.. but i like his mindset and the way he views cooking. Like when that guy added flowers to his dish and ASJ was like wy would u add somthin bland like flowers just because? and to me that was an honest and very realistic take on modern cookin, specifically when they b addin random shi to their plates jst for a wow factor without havin a real purpose in upgrading the flavor on the dish itself...
i m not familiar with how famous or how a great chef Choi Hyun Seok is... but in this program it felt like he managed to advance in the stages due to his versatility in Show Biz. You could tell he s been on Tv shows and understands their structures... which subsequently, reduced to value of his cookin skills in my opinion as a viewer... Sometimes things seemed unnatural or tailored to preserve his pride as a famous chef... at the expense of the other contestants.
