I think most of the scenes that got removed are definitely from the side characters cuz it feels like we haven't seen how Gelin and the rest are doing for a looooong time.
reservations all old the drama was on hold for about 3 years so many of them are already not watching drama anymore
that doesn't matter. douban rankings have nothing to do with reservation numbers. if actor/actress is popular, the reservations are always high. 5M is normal for traffic actors.
